Solaire Connect

Solaire Connect had previously contacted us to take over responsibility for our home solar panel system that we had installed by another company about five years ago. With the announcement of the Federal and WA State Government rebates for the purchase and installation of battery systems (and also having discussed this with my cousin who was having a battery installed) we decided to take advantage of this. As we already had a solaredge inverter and other components, Kevan Towers of Solaire Connect recommended a solaredge battery (10kwh). Solaredge were offering a free replacement inverter (to be compatible with the battery) provided you purchased the battery backup module. The net cost quoted was reasonable after the rebates were subtracted from the total cost. We accepted the quote and also applied and were approved for the WA State Government interest only loan for the battery (via Plenti) which covered the cost less the deposit. So our anticipated electricity bill savings/credits should cover the repayments on the loan. A date for installation was arranged for early February 2026. Installers arrived about 8:30 and the work was professionally completed by mid afternoon including removal of all packaging and cleaning of the area. Communication from Solaire Connect (pre and post installation) and the installation guys was excellent. I highly recommend Solaire Connect if you are considering installing solar/battery.

Solaire did the installation of my solar panels and battery. It has been a week so far and I haven’t had any issues at all. I went for the 6.6 kw panels JA, the 5 kWh battery. Inverter and battery are iStore. Communication was excellent from day one. Neil came to my house to check my property and gave me a quote. He was quick to reply to my questions over email. Ava from accounts was always nice and helpful over the phone. The technicians that did the install were professional and did everything in one day. I have been monitoring my usage and pretty much my battery takes over at the end of the day when the sun sets. When I have checked at midnight there is still over 50% capacity. I don’t used too much power in my house anyway. At night we only use the TV, cooktop and aircon split system for 3 bedrooms. The only thing I wished I could do is monitor and control the system when not at home. I have seen other people doing this with their systems. The app is too basic for my liking. To use the app you must be connected to the inverter wifi. You can see the current consumption and history by day and hour. The inverter has a dongle connected to my wifi. So it must be sending the data somewhere. There is also a low buzz sound when the inverter gets hot. The technician did mention about it getting very hot and that being a reason why it must be installed outside the house. Just bear in mind that due to the battery rebate, the waiting time for the install could take over 2 to 3 months. But that’s with all other reputable companies here in Perth anyway. I will update my post after I get my first or second energy bill and or during winter time.

The Solaire team did a fantastic job of installing my solar panels and battery. Just had my first week of running on solar and the system does everything I was told. Big thanks to Roshann for the design and a big thanks to Jimmy and his team for the superb install job -- very tidy install.
