  I decided to go with Chris Smith of Crisp Carpentry and Construction for my rather substantial renovation as soon as I met him, just had a gut feel and I was right. Chris was a delight to work with, I knew what I wanted, but was open to Chris's experienced input, I think we worked well together. Chris has integrity and a decency about him, his communication was exemplary....(note to other tradies). His team of men were great workers, respectful and friendly. He employed excellent subcontractors, my kitchen is outstanding. Tile work also excellent. I made some changes to original plan, but it wasn't a problem and Chris incorporated the changes to the reno. Overall the extensive work I had done was- . Custom kitchen with new ceiling and downlights . Custom laundry incorporating guest toilet . New ceilings in lounge/dining with new downlights and pendant light . New winder return on staircase + new steel railing and timber banister . New main bathroom . New ensuite . Engineered timber flooring throughout house with herringbone pattern in living/dining and main bedroom . Heated flooring in living/dining There are always hiccoughs in building works, but Chris was quick to recognise a problem and it was fixed. All in all I would highly recommend Chris and his team for any form of build/renovation. I'm situated on the Northern Beaches and the boys travelled from the mountains - all in a day's work 😄

  Chris and his team did a great job building my deck and sunken firepit. Matt worked very hard and the end result is stunning. There were a few interruptions that were neither of our fault and Chris handled himself with patience and integrity. Now that I have sold my beautiful house I want to say thank you for all your hard work. The before and after photos show what a great result was achieved.

  Chris of Crisp Carpentry and Construction helped to conserve our1890’s timber miner’s cottage in the Blue Mountains. After a lifetime of neglect the cottage needed a major structural overhaul. Chris and his trusty team insulated every wall and floor, re-stumped, plumbed, replaced all electrics and some flooring, re-hung windows and doors and saved and salvaged all the original features with sensitivity taking into account the cottage’s historic significance for the area. We our grateful for Chris’s attention to detail and his commitment and precision. Thank you Chris, we highly recommend you.
