Frequently asked questions

Do tilers charge call-out fees?

Call-out fees are common to cover attendance and the initial assessment. This fee is usually separate from labour and materials, and small repairs may still attract it. After-hours or emergency visits are often charged at a higher rate, so confirm call-out and availability terms when requesting quotes.

Do tilers need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Tiling work generally requires a licensed tradesperson in all Australian states and territories, and in NSW licences are administered by NSW Fair Trading. Ask to see a valid state tiling or building licence number on quotes or invoices, and look for industry credentials such as Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, a White Card, public liability insurance and an ABN with active GST registration.

How do I get a quote from Northset tile and stone?

Northset tile and stone lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
