My 14 year old inverter had stopped working, it needed replacing along with the solar panels. I also decided that I wanted a battery. I spoke to Phil Mercer at Formula Sun and he arranged for this work to be done. It was easy to communicate with Phil and everything was done exactly as he said it would be. I am really please with the system that has been installed.

I decided to undertake the daunting challenge of getting solar panels installed. I had delayed for many years due to shading from a double storey house next door. After reviewing the excellent website SolarQuotes I made an enquiry to 5 companies in December 2024. I chose Formula Sun because of the excellent communication, knowledge and honesty. Honesty because the other companies promised to lock in my STC at 2024 years rates if I booked before the end of the year as the STC reduces each year. This turned out to be BS as STCs cannot be booked in advance, they are issued post installation which was to be 2025. What the other companies did was offer was 2024 STCs rates at a reduced price instead of giving me the full value of the STCs. This was sneaky. Phil gave me full value of the STCs at 2025 rates which in fact worked out to be more than what the other companies were offering anyway. This was a big plus for me as I despise underhand sales tactics. The product Phil offered me were excellent quality so I booked him in. Come installation day the installers were excellent. Job completed in about 4 hours all neat and tidy. System installed and working well. In short, Formula Sun are an honest company, offer great value, quality products, excellent communication and knowledge. I am very happy I chose Formula Sun and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to install a solar system.

Formula Sun provided equal lowest quote of four quotes, abundant reviews of the proposed panels and inverters (with a range of choices and costs), and had the whole system installed and operating within a week of getting the go ahead. I'm now thinking of getting him to install same system on a rental property we own.
