We recently had a house battery and inverter installed by Renewable Industries Australia (RI) and are very happy with the outcome. We compared multiple quotes and RI’s sat in the middle, but the deciding factor was the quality of information provided by their sales rep, John. John was excellent from the first contact — knowledgeable, efficient, and very clear in explaining the pros and cons of the different battery systems on offer so we could genuinely compare apples with apples. There was no hard sell, no gimmicks or artificial urgency, just honest information (including clear explanations around the timing of government rebates). RI is a relatively new company, which naturally gave us pause, but our background checks showed no red flags and the majority of online feedback was favourable. Ultimately, we were impressed with their work and very glad we chose RI. One big advantage was their availability — they were able to install far sooner than more established companies with long waitlists. There was an unavoidable delay to the original install date, which was inconvenient, but RI rescheduled within a week and even came out on the weekend outside their usual hours. Communication during the rescheduling could have been faster, but Rob, the company director, did follow up within a few days and kept us informed during this process. The installation itself was carried out by their dedicated local electrical contractor, Always on Electrical Services. Greig and his team were outstanding — courteous, professional, neat, and thorough. They took the time to explain the system and helped us set up the monitoring app on my phone. We did have a confusing app display issue afterwards, but John sorted it out quickly from the back end. Several weeks on, the system is running perfectly and integrates seamlessly with our existing solar. Overall, we have every confidence in Renewable Industries Australia. They delivered on their commitments, and we’re confident recommending them as a capable, knowledgeable and trustworthy local provider.

I’m leaving this review after taking some time to see how things settled following our battery installation with Renewable Industries Australia. I’m pleased to report the system is performing well and functions wonderfully with our existing solar panels. I haven’t yet received our first energy bill since the install, but from what I see on the monitoring app, RIA’s battery is going to save us money in the long run. Our first interactions with John from RIA were very positive. He was very patient in answering our many questions and clear in explaining the strengths and limitations of the different battery systems on offer. He helped us decide which system would best suit our particular needs, which is important when making such a significant financial outlay on an item that needs to see you benefit in the longer term future. There were a couple of minor hiccups and delays during the installation process, but to their credit, RIA did not walk away from those issues. They stayed engaged, completed the work they committed to, and resolved follow-up concerns when they arose. The installation was completed professionally, the system works well, and any little issues we had afterward were addressed with support rather than deflection. RIA proved themselves to be accountable and reliable — qualities that aren’t always easy to assess with newer businesses. Based on the end result, I’m comfortable giving them five stars and wishing them continued success.

The team accommodated my request and all went ahead on the day. The installation company was super impressive also. In April this year, I was doorknocked by a friendly rep for Renewable Industries, She wasn’t in hard sell mode, so I invited her in for a chat. That chat led to an analysis of our needs, and a subsequent proposal a few days later from Renewable Industries. A young company with little internet presence, I did as much due diligence as I could, digging up background info while acquainting myself with the tech, lingo and options available for our requirements. On the fence, but desirous of improving our solar capture, Renewable Industries founder came for a site visit (classic technique, I know) his enthusiasm and vision for his company was obvious. We were leaning towards a newer supplier in the battery field and were in equal parts hesitant and excited by what was on offer. RI was patient while we organised our “green loan” (the federal rebate was not in play at that point). Once the loan was approved, installation was dizzyingly fast (remember, pre- rebate) the installer was a qualified professional who specialised in the equipment we selected. Renewable Industries were on the money about encouraging us to add south-facing panels to our existing PV setup. *Thanks * The wettest winter quarter in years came and went. First electricity bill was easily 50% that of the corresponding period in ’24, (including a price hike). Now with government rebates active, we are upgrading - doubling current battery storage. I sourced my quotes, read the reviews, and happily report that RI were handsomely competitive; coupled with an installer we trust, it was a no-brainer. Renewable Industries, we can’t wait!
