UPDATE - I've just recently engaged HCB Solar to add a second Tesla Powerwall to my house. I could not fault HCB's service, expertise & their “can do attitude”. Bronson, HCB’s PV Design Engineer, kept me in the loop with the design aspects & with gaining approval to install from Ausgrid. Anthony & Harry arrived on schedule & the job was quickly completed in a couple of hours. ------------------------------------------------------ I chose HCB Solar to install a solar system on my house, for the following reasons: • HCB Solar and their parent company are proud Novocastrians, who have been around since the 1940s. They’re not going to disappear before your warranty expires! • Their sales representative was very helpful and was able to offer sound advice on the various products they sell and answered all my questions. I was very impressed with their online quoting tools and was blown away to have the quote in my email inbox before he left site! • HCB’s Installation Technicians arrived on time and were very courteous. Their work is very neat and professional, the worksite was left clean and tidy when they had finished. They took all the packing material/rubbish away with them. Once the installation was complete, I was given a run through of the system and the online monitoring. I highly recommend HCB Solar, they may not be the cheapest, but if you want a good quality system, backed with long warranty and support, then they’re company to use!

The experience with HCB was a delight end to end. Their prices compared favourably with others but the level of advice, value add and professionalism in the installation was absolutely top shelf. Even with the less technical part of the installation (digging under a pathway for cabling) their providers were able to tunnel under the path rather than sawing it, which resulted in a better solution with less impact on our existing landscaping. This is our second experience with HCB and we have been very impressed both times.

Great pre-sales support and advice. Professional and informative installers. A third-party issue was identified during commissioning that was resolved within a day. Very happy with the solution put forward, the quality of workmanship and the post-sales service.

I've worked with HCB twice now and they have always been professional to deal with, tidy in their work, customer-focused and help after-installation support. While they're at the higher end of costs for systems, I'm a believer in you get what you pay for. Would certainly recommend

After discovering that our solar was not producing, HCB were on the case. Prompt and efficient, they found the problem and replaced the faulty inverter. The job was covered by warranty and so now the sun is supplying our power again. Good to have the HCB team there with the knowledge and experience that counts.
