Reclaim Solar Energy

We've now had two installations done by Reclaim Solar Energy – first a 10kW solar panel system during our roof replacement last year, and this year a full 16kWh battery system with a new Sungrow hybrid inverter. The previous Sungrow inverter we had with the solar panels was traded in against the new battery inverter, which made a real difference to the overall cost. I can confidently say they're a genuinely trustworthy contractor in a field where many just chase turnover and cut corners. What stands out is they actually take time to understand what you need. They didn't push us toward the most expensive option, they explained what would work and why, and they involved us in the decisions. The installation itself was done properly by their team – everything was technically sound and completed professionally. What really impressed me was the quality of support both before and after installation. Before we started, Lauren spent months answering detailed technical questions – often I'd send her a list of 10-20 questions at a time and she'd respond with thorough, specific documentation each time. She was always positive and constructive, even when I was asking the same things in different ways. That level of clarity made the difference between feeling confident about the project or holding back. Then during commissioning, any issues that came up were diagnosed properly, explained clearly, and sorted to spec. They didn't just fix things – they made sure we understood what was happening. Andy, the owner, treated our residential project with genuine care despite having much larger commercial work on his books. That matters – you can tell the difference when someone's actually invested in getting it right, not just ticking boxes. Every install has details that need sorting. The difference here is that problems got handled reliably and transparently, with people who actually cared about getting it right. In a field where corners get cut and customers end up feeling like they're bothering the contractor, that's pretty rare. I initially chose Reclaim Solar Energy because I wanted a Reclaim Hot Water Heat Pump. After meeting Andy I also asked his company to install a new solar panel system and battery. Andy coordinated the heat pump installation with Matt from The Heat Pump Boys. As with the solar installation I was impressed with the organised, efficient manner in which the work was done. I am very happy with the result. A great friendly team in the office and on site. I was so pleased with the experience with Reclaim Solar Energy that I am having them to do some general electrical work for me. I highly recommend this company.

We could not be happier with the recent installation of our solar panel and battery system with Reclaim Solar Energy. Our job was a bit complicated, and there were a few challenges (with an existing, old LG battery we first tried to integrate into our new system; and lining up roofing work in between removal of old faulty panels and installation of the new system). At all stages the communication was excellent, beginning with a consultation from Andy to assess our needs and give us multiple options to consider. No hard sell or pressure, just good information to think about. Challenges were resolved in the end and the outcome was excellent, and all in the extended team (office / professional staff, and on-site tradespeople) were reliable, flexible, helpful, and made this major renovation a great experience. It is nice to support a local small business doing great work in this industry of the future.

We have worked with the Reclaim Solar team on a large retirement development over 4 years. With 82 installations so far, we have committed to another 31 in the coming year based on their quality of installation and the ongoing service back up. They may not be the cheapest - but they use quality gear and back up their work with a strong crew of experienced local technicians which is worth more than getting the cheapest price. Andy runs a good operation.
