Such an awesome locksmith to deal with! I'm currently opening my new beauty salon in Broadbeach and needed all new locks on the windows and doors, and a deadlock on the front and back doors. I also chose pink keys for all of my workers which was awesome!! I dealt with Michael and he is hands down the best! I recommend Michael if you don't want to be ripped off and want someone who knows what they're doing! Thank you!

Some of the units in our apartment building on the Gold Coast had faulty intercom handsets. Our body corporate chairman organised Imperial Locksmiths to liaise with myself to arrange the whole intercom system to be replaced. Michael was so easy to deal with, arranged access to all of the units with ease and completed the job in an efficient manner. All of the tenants have given positive feedback.

My car had been stolen and just returned to me, and Micheal from Imperial Locksmiths was a nice smiling face to lift my mood. He was extremely helpful and really helped me out, even fixing my broken door lock that RACQ broke some months before for no extra cost! Amazing service and a truly pleasant person to do business with :)

Frequently asked questions

How much do locksmiths typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job — a simple key cut or rekey is usually much less than emergency entry or full hardware replacement. This page shows live pricing for local providers to help you compare options. Many locksmiths charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate and materials, and after-hours or emergency work generally attracts higher rates.
Do locksmiths charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. This fee is usually separate from labour and materials and may apply even for quick or small jobs. It's worth confirming any call-out or minimum charge when getting quotes.
Do locksmiths need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Locksmithing is a licensed occupation across Australia, and in NSW licences are issued by the NSW Police Force — Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED). You should expect a provider to display a valid state security licence number and to hold industry credentials such as MLAA, LGA or ASIAL membership, a Certificate III in Locksmithing, an ABN with GST registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
Does Imperial Locksmiths have a verified ABN?
Yes. Imperial Locksmiths has completed ABN verification on SureQuote.
How do I get a quote from Imperial Locksmiths?
Imperial Locksmiths lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
