Can I add team members to my business?

Yes. An owner or admin can invite people from Team in your trade dashboard. Once they join, they work from the same business, leads and wallet as you.

Send an invite

You need to be an owner or admin, with a verified email address.

  1. Open Team in your trade dashboard.
  2. Under Invite team member, enter the person's email address.
  3. Choose Member or Admin, then Send invite.

Members buy and work leads. Admins also look after the wallet, the profile and the team. See what owners, admins and members can do.

What your teammate does

They open the link in the email and choose Join the Team. If they're new to SureQuote, they create an account with the invited email address. If they already have one, they sign in with that address. The link lasts 7 days; if it runs out, send a new invite.

Add another owner

Invite them as an admin or member. Once they've joined, an owner can make them an owner.

Change a role or remove someone

Open the person on the Team page and pick their new role, or choose Remove from team. Their access to the business's leads, wallet and settings ends straight away. A business always keeps at least one owner, so make someone else an owner before you remove the last one.

What can owners, admins and members do?

Everyone on the team can see the business, buy and work leads, and see the wallet balance. Admins also look after the money and the business: top-ups, transactions, credit refunds, the profile and the team. Owners can do all of that, plus manage other owners and close the business.

Members

Members are the people buying and working leads. A member can:

  • see the business and its leads
  • buy leads and contact homeowners
  • pass on leads that aren't a fit
  • see the wallet balance
  • set their own notifications

Admins

Admins can do everything a member can, plus:

  • top up the wallet and see every transaction
  • request a refund of unused paid credit
  • edit the business profile, locations, trades, coverage and credentials
  • invite and remove people, and move them between admin and member

Owners

Owners can do everything an admin can, plus make someone an owner, change or remove an owner, and close the business. Every business keeps at least one owner.

Good to know

  • Everyone sets their own notifications, and owners and admins can set team defaults for new members.
  • Your business buys each lead once, and we show you which teammate bought it, so no one doubles up.
  • Roles belong to one business. If you're on more than one team, you can hold a different role in each.

Picking the right role

A simple way to set things up: make whoever handles money and business details an admin, such as your office manager, and make the people out quoting and working jobs members. Having two owners keeps things running when one of you is away.

To invite people or change roles, see how to add team members. For the shared balance, see does my team share one wallet.

Does my team share one wallet?

Yes. The wallet belongs to the business, so everyone on the team sees the same balance and can use it to buy leads. Owners and admins look after it: they top it up, see the transactions, set the low balance alert and request refunds of unused paid credit.

One wallet for the whole business

Each business has one wallet, and it covers every location. It shows your paid credit (what you've bought) and any bonus credit from us as separate amounts. Anyone on the team can open Wallet in the trade dashboard to check the balance.

Buying leads as a team

Any team member can buy a lead for the business, using wallet credit or a card. Your business buys each lead once, so you're never charged twice for the same job. If a teammate has already bought it, we'll show you who, so you can pick it up from there.

What owners and admins look after

Owners and admins can:

  • top up the wallet
  • see every top-up, purchase and refund
  • set the low balance alert amount
  • request a refund of unused paid credit

You can ask for a refund of unused paid credit at any time within 24 months of buying it. Everyone can choose to get a text when the balance drops below the alert amount, under Low balance in Settings, Notifications.

For the details, see can I get a refund of unused credit and how to top up your wallet.

When your team changes

The credit stays with the business. New members see the balance as soon as they join, and nothing moves when someone leaves. If the only owner closes their account, the business closes too, and we refund its unused paid credit. See what happens to my credit if I close my account.

Can I add more than one office or location to my business?

Yes. An owner or admin opens Settings, then Locations, and chooses Add another location. Each location has its own address, travel radius, contacts, trades and service areas.

  1. Open Settings, then Locations, and choose Add another location.
  2. Give it a label, such as its suburb.
  3. Enter its suburb or street address and how far you travel for work from there.
  4. Add a contact email and phone for it, or leave them blank to use the business's.
  5. Choose Add Location.
  6. Set its trades and service areas in Settings, under Trades & Coverage.

How do I control the notifications I get about leads?

Open Settings and choose Notifications. Turn email and SMS on or off, pick which updates you get by each, and choose the address your lead alerts go to.

Use a different email address

Under Lead email address, choose Use a different address, then enter the code we send to it.

Team defaults

An owner or admin can set Team defaults, which new members start with. Choose Use team default to go back to the business setting.

Start again

Choose Restore all defaults.

How do I change my business name, ABN or login email?

In Settings, open Business Profile: request a new business name there, or enter your new ABN and choose Check. To change your sign-in email, email [email protected] from your current login address.

Change your business name

  1. Open Settings and choose Business Profile.
  2. Under Business name, choose Request name change.
  3. Enter the new name.
  4. Choose Submit Request.

Change your ABN

In Business Profile, enter your 11-digit ABN and choose Check. You'll see the registered name and status.

How do I close my SureQuote trade account?

Open Settings and choose Delete account. Check what happens to each business and its credit, then type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and choose Delete account.

Can SureQuote suspend or close my trade account?

Yes, in serious cases: fraud, misuse, non-payment, misleading information, a safety or legal risk, or a serious breach of our terms. If it happens, we tell you why and give you the chance to put it right wherever it's practical and safe.

If you hear from us

Reply to our email with whatever shows the issue is fixed, such as updated licence or insurance details, and we'll take another look. We can also act on just one part of an account, such as a profile or a single message, and leave the rest running.

Your credit

If we close your account and you haven't breached our terms, we refund your unused paid credit.

Keep your account in good standing

  • Keep your business, licence, insurance and service area details up to date.
  • Use homeowners' details only for the job they asked about.
  • Deal fairly and honestly with homeowners and other businesses.
