Fast. Reliable. Honest. Hassle free. Real nice guy with reasonable prices. He was highly recommended on the Safety Bay community chat so I sent him a text with the picture below and he was here in 30mins. My front door key broke off into the lock. My stressful situation was sorted in minutes and I didn’t need to break the bank. Thank you so much!

My parter and I have been doing renovations and we have been lucky enough to have Marcus do a few jobs for us from changing locks to installing two new hardwood doors. He has gone above and beyond for us and continually made sure we were happy with his work. He did a great job every time he came out, extremely professional and friendly I couldn’t recommend him enough.

TLDR- Amazing service, extensive knowledge, prompt response with no pressure or sales. Just good old fashioned, honest communication and quality work at a fair price I work fifo and have my kids on my week off - a story familiar to alot of people my age. The kids are coming around, im flying home excited to see them and BAM - flight delay. The kids (well young adults with the eldest almost 19) have "lost" their keys. In the frantic ring around to my siblings looking for a spare to get them in we have come up short. I ask the ex wife if the kids can go back to hers but my middle son decides to jump the fence and squeeze through the doggy door. My son is about to turn 16, is a aholic swole lads lad who's also over 6ft and my dogs - pugs. I wish id been there to see him squeeze through! But I digress. Your reading along to hear about the locks.... I get home, we laugh and then I think its about time to join the new world and buy a smart lock. 30 chat gpts and YouTube reviews later and off to bunnings i go to come home with a fancy new lock that is "diy in 15 mins with just a screwdriver" On this occasion they were right - what i hadn't accounted for was the fact that the battery compartment on the internal side would interfere with the deadbolt. Fine - ill switch their positions.....only to learn that it would foul the flyscreen handle. Its at this point I concede and call Anchored lock service, slightly deflated but ready to concede i may have attempted more than I was capable of here. I rang and had a return call in less time than it took me to lock my screen and get the phone halfway into my pocket- thats not an exaggeration, thats literally the call back time I had. I laid out my tale and received no judgement, no lecture, no laughter, nothing! Instead I was asked to text through a quick snap - and almost as quick ad the return call i was given 2 options, each costing less than I expected and informed that the job could go ahead in as little as a couple hours if I wished Wow! You dont see that with many tradies these days, especially in the lead up to christmas! Fast forward to the job. Professional, efficient, quick. He fixed the door situation by closing off the old deadbolt hole and relocating it higher, installing a new deadbolt and even corrected the level on the smart lock (although i now now they can be purchased directly through Anchored lock service) with the whole job done in under an hour. The old hole was filled with a plug and then filled and levelled to a finish smoother than the Fonz himself (seriously how do you get the finish that smooth - im begging you! I have paint prep to do, I need to know!) A little friendly chat, a quick pat of the pugs who were super curious as to the goings on and job done, payment settled and in the true spirit of tradies a solid recommendation for another professional to help with another house repair i had mentioned in general passing. I could not fault the experience (that I put myself into) instead was left with a smart lock and relocated deadbolt that honestly are better than before, with old fashioned honest service and advice, no pushy sales BS just solutions offered at a price that was fair and job done quickly I wont ever be needing another locksmith unless its Anchored lock service and I wont be recommending anyone other than Anchored lock service either. Rare to find this level of honest, old fashioned service and professionalism these days. Very appreciated - thank you!

Highly recommend Marcus. He came recommended from another locksmith and I couldn’t agree more. He was friendly, punctual, professional and explained everything to me before carrying out the job. His workmanship was excellent and he went over and above to make sure everything was perfect. His pricing was the best of the quotes I had received too.

Frequently asked questions

How much do locksmiths typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job — a simple key cut or rekey is usually much less than emergency entry or full hardware replacement. This page shows live pricing for local providers to help you compare options. Many locksmiths charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate and materials, and after-hours or emergency work generally attracts higher rates.
Do locksmiths charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. This fee is usually separate from labour and materials and may apply even for quick or small jobs. It's worth confirming any call-out or minimum charge when getting quotes.
Do locksmiths need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Locksmithing is a licensed occupation across Australia, and in NSW licences are issued by the NSW Police Force — Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED). You should expect a provider to display a valid state security licence number and to hold industry credentials such as MLAA, LGA or ASIAL membership, a Certificate III in Locksmithing, an ABN with GST registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
Does Anchored Lock Service have a verified ABN?
Yes. Anchored Lock Service has completed ABN verification on SureQuote.
