Dowie Designs

After a thorough search we engaged Dowie Designs to create our entire garden for our newly constructed home at Port Willunga. From our initial meeting and chat with Elliot we felt comfortable and listened to. He understood our wants and wishes and created a design that surpassed our expectations. Dowie Designs constructed rock walls, a reclaimed wooden fence, garden beds, lighting, irrigation, plantings and other general landscaping work all of which were creative, beautiful and skilfully constructed. Given the timing of the project the construction took place during winter with wet weather and often in muddy conditions. This did not deter the Dowie team! Eliot, Josiah and their team not only did an amazing job but were very accommodating, friendly and easy to deal with. We absolutely love our new garden which meets all of our needs. We were so pleased with the work Josiah and the team from Dowie Designs did on part 1of a staged project in our backyard. It was a pleasure to work with Dowie designs. Our garden was overgrown and messy and they have made sense of it. As well as this, they have created new watering systems, renovated the old watering systems and created new sets of stairs where they were crumbling and becoming dangerous. They have done a beautiful and thorough job at whatever they’ve taken on.

We were delighted to work with Dowie Designs to create a new garden from the 20 year neglect that our Tatachilla Winery Stables block suffered. A key feature of the project was to create a 50 metre Willunga slate wall to separate the Grape Pickers Cottage from the Stables. The resulting wall was sensational and the slate slabs that Dowie Designs used to make steps up from one area of the garden to another are quite remarkable.
