I had Luke come and look at my broken gate and run down fence after we had some storms and it needed replacing. It was an absolute pleasure to go through design and quotes with Luke with him offering many options for my style and budget. He kept me up to date with my order and installation, great communication. His team were so lovely and happy to work around my home business clients as well, super respectful of my property and when installation was finished they left it looking awesome and tidy. Super chuffed with Strike Fencing and have received many compliments on my new fence and gate. Highly recommend!

Yes they do more than just fences. For the first time in years I feel like it is actually some sort of usable back yard. To add the buffalo around the drain/easement was an afterthought on the last day when they were cleaning up (I asked if maybe just buffalo along there may be a cheap decent option to get the easement looking decent again and they did happen to have some buffalo for another job but said they will use it to put along there and only charged me a small amount extra) to make around the drain a bit nicer and hoping the buffalo will take hold there and help minimize weeds taking over, it is a damp easement with not a great deal of sunlight-it does seem to be holding up after a couple of months. Also to add, they did this whole job with little notice as well as some bad weather in between, not saying theycan attend every job with short notice but they fit this in as early as possible and for a better price than competitors.

Had new automated gates and some fencing installed this week. Luke, Max and Paul were excellent workers and easy to deal with. They went above and beyond. And their work is outstanding. Very happy!

Landscaping costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
