Coughran Electrical

Just like to give a big vote of thanks Coughran Electrical for the recent solar and battery installation they did for me. My system is 24kWh of Solar (to complement the existing 6.6 kWh), a 40 kWh Sigenergy Battery and 12kWh inverter. We are large power users with a pool, ducted air (two systems, 12kW & 16kW), 5 fridges, an EV, hot water and all the other bits that make up our house. The orientation of our home is aligned to take advantage of the view, and not ideal for solar. Anthony came to site and came up with a design that maximises the solar input - 4 strings on 3 orientations. Anthony , Toby and the team turned up when they said and worked tirelessly to complete the whole installation in 3 days. These boys don't knock off at 3:30, they keep going until the job is done. The system recommended and installed works a treat, and the Sig App is comprehensive and allows the system to be very effectively managed (running both A/C units and charging the Tesla sucks up a lot of power). Our average daily usage is about 48 kWh, and the highest we've recorded is 140 kWh - both A/C's running all day. The solar and battery do it with ease. We've had one bill so far from our power supplier - $39 - and that is due to the $50 per month supply charge that we all get stitched up with. I had a very positive experience with Coughran Electrical- my water heater stopped working I rang early morning and the problem was fixed by lunch time! normally unheard of in these parts. We started to investigate Solar when our electricity bill just got out of control. We are a household of 3 and we predominately work from home. I engaged online and had arranged for 2 suppliers to visit and guide us along the path to Solar Power. They were a little slow in engaging with us and I got some advise from another couple of locals and decided to contact Coughran Electrical as they are local to us and had worked with our friends. Andrew Spargo was out the next day and had a plan and quote in place the next very day which was designed specifically for our needs and budget. Work began within the week and although we had some weather interruptions the work was completed within a few weeks.
