At 11.15pm on Saturday night our power just went off for no apparent reason at our home. We were in complete darkness my family was frightened. I phoned 5 emergency “24/7 “ Electricians all advertising immediate responses and prompt service. All my calls were either unanswered or went to their message Bank. Then I called TG&P Electrical who immediately answered the phone and I spoke to Tony who was most obliging reassuring me that they are an active reliable After Hours service and would attend immediately. I can confirm Tony’s statement and would highly recommend TG and P Electrical in your time of need. They actually answer their phone and follow up. As for the other 5 “After Hours Electricians” only two of them called me back, 3 days later ? Thank you Tony and thank you TG and P Electrical. Adam. ◦

We were sitting watching TV on a Friday night and the power went out at 7pm, we rang Tony at TG&P Electrical. Tony promptly came out and had the power back on, problem fixed well under 30min. He reused parts that were already there so kept the cost down. After Tony had completed the job we both realised that we had met about 15 years before. Tony had rewired our entire old house back then and did a fantastic job. Very reasonably priced, highly recommended.Tony,s a smooth operator.

Lost Power to all power points at 21:40, called TG&P, Tony drove out within 30min and got the power back on. I could see Tony was a good operator, knew his stuff and identified a couple of hazards outside of the issue. Cost a bit but it was almost 23:00 and it saved me from throwing out 1 fridge and 2 freezers worth of food.... good to get someone who's not still an apprentice. Peace of Mind.

We appreciated Tony's skills and problem-solving abilities. Our home is over 50 years old and the electrical work we needed required some 'thinking outside the square'. We liked the way Tony communicated several options and helped us understand the pros and cons for each. Highly recommended.

Very knowledgable & fast response time. Tony came out and did a job that nobody else wanted to touch, and gave us a great price too. Thanks Tony.

Absolutely first class! Quick and excellent work. Clear advice on the problem at hand and very helpful information some days later. Highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from TG&P Electrical?
TG&P Electrical lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
