I had an urgent electrical issue late on Friday night, contacted SEAA who literally came in minutes. Shane was great and managed to diagnose the problem restoring power. Very professional and price was reasonable, particularly considering the time. I would 100% use again and am thankful for finding a good local electric trades person for future work.

I work hard for my money and expect the best from any trade that I pay to do work on my house. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave a bad review if it was warranted, however Shane was top quality in everything he did. Polite, informative, genuine, trustworthy, respectful and above all was professional. He knew his stuff, understood what I wanted and gave good (non-pushy) advice. I needed power run to my shed and to fit the shed out with lights and power points. Came on the day I asked for and after meeting him was happy to let him work on my property without me there. Will be using him for any and all electrical work in the future. Highly recommend.

I had been looking for a reliable electrician to complete some work around my house/pool area. I received the contact details of Shane from SEAA Electrical from a family friend and was so glad I did, I got a hold of Shane and explained the work I required to be completed and even though he had a busy schedule, Shane was still able to make time that same day, to come around and give me a quote. Shane was very polite, punctual, knowledgeable and honest, he explained everything that he needed to do and why he needed to do it. Safety and customer satisfaction is at the top of his priority list, so it didn't seem like he was there to overcharge me, like others had done in the past. I will recommend Shane and the team to all my family and friends, or anyone looking for a genuine electrician. Thanks again Shane and Elle @SEAA Electrical

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from SEAA Electrical?
SEAA Electrical lists phone, email, or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
