We were advised to get multiple quotes for a solar project we wanted to action. We got 5 in the end with Tropical Solar being the last. We're glad that we spoke with them because it was clear to us that they were very experienced & professional, had the right product & service features and were offering more for less than everyone else. We now have the system installed Panels, inverter & batteries and couldn't be more impressed with the results. Although a small thing, it spoke volumes to me that after the install, there wasn't one bit of rubbish left behind. The install team on the day, were fantastic to deal with, kept us fully informed throughout the day of everything and once completed, gave us a full rundown & explanation of the system, it's features, how to use it for best results & what to do if the system needed to be isolated for any reason. Lastly, they are local in Mackay and their door is always open or their phones always available if there was even any questions or concerns. Tropical Solar were the best choice in our minds by far. From the first contact through to a quote and then competition of solar instillation we could not fault Tropical Solar. The team from Admin to the guys installing the System knew their stuff. We highly recommend Tropical Solar if you want honest answers, a competitive price, customer requirements and quality insulation of panels. Our short story, we had a 3.5kwh system installed in 2014, the size recommended by another Company but it was never going too reduce our electricity bill to zero because our ducted system alone runs at 6kwh. We decided to upgrade in 2024, we arranged three quotes with local Solar installers. Our requirements: to intergrate our 3.5kwh with new system 8.8kwh,a new 10kwh inverter too run the 12.3kwh system. Tropical Solar was the only Company that would assist with the customer requirements ! Since installed in March 2024 we have only paid $5.75 to ergon energy over this current period Jan, 2025. We withdrew $500 from ergon account from export of Solar credits and have 30% return from initial cost. Hunter along with his team were pleasant to deal with and gave us quality workmanship, a fair price and confidence that from start to finish Tropical Solar was the best choice. Cheers Craig n Linda
