I recently hired Rowan at Ridgy Didge Electrical to complete some electrical work at my house, and I could not be happier with the service I received. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Rowan was very professional and knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand. He was also very efficient and completed the work quickly and cleanly. I am so impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Rowan. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of electrical services. Thanks mate, for a job well done!

Rowan was easy to deal with and open to having a conversation about options going forward. He explained what he was proposing for the job and provided a detailed quote before starting. We ran through the quote so both parties understood scope and costs. The job was scheduled and Rowan completed the job in slightly less time than expected. He sent pictures of the work on the day and confirmed everything he completed again. Communication was excellent. Rowan works efficiently and I would recommend him. Thanks Rowan.

Rowan was great to deal with. From my initial enquiry for a quote for our kitchen renovation and then doing the job to an excellent standard. It was also no trouble when we changed and added a few things during the job. We are super happy with the level of workmanship and the end price was as quoted. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. We have a few other projects planned that Rowan will definitely be doing for us. Great guy. Well priced. Great work. Highly recommended.

Rowan came out to do a quote on installing 5 ceiling fans and a few extra jobs and provided such detail of what would be involved. So upfront with costs and looking forward to him completing the job!

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from Ridgy Didge Electrical?
