Summary: Professional, fair priced and trustworthy. Situation: As usual with our house, things only break on long weekends and Sundays. After a visit from Ausgrid at 7am on a Sunday, I urgently needed an electrician to sort out my main electrical board as they turned off my power for safety and to avoid a fire. I was referred to Brayden at Braytech by my other trusted sparky. Brayden was out to my place later that day and although the fault was difficult to pinpoint exactly (old wiring in my house), he was extremely professional figuring out the best options. I trusted his judgement and went for a full board replacement instead of just the main switch as Ausgrid initially suspected …. and I’m so glad I did.. It turned out the cheapest fix wouldn’t have solved my issue as Brayden mentioned at the time and seeing the state of an old fuse (see photo of one of my other fuses - not the main switch), Brayden was spot on. I will be keeping Braytech’s number on file. Great to have piece of mind and not be price gouged with a Sunday morning electrical drama.

After waking up on Saturday morning to find we had no power to our home, we were in a bit of panic. We easily found Braytech online when searching for a local Level 2 electrician. After contacting Braytech, we had a response within minutes. From there everything went very smoothly and professionally. Casey showed up to our home and assessed the situation quickly. I was impressed with his level of professionalism and knowledge, and also the gear/equipment that they had ready to go. Our job was completed in a few hours and power restored. Very happy customer. Couldn’t recommend Braytech highly enough.

After having a main service fuse blow in our meter box and needing a level 2 electrician, Braden came out late in the afternoon and not only replaced it but spent a fair bit off time troubleshooting to see if other recent electrical work (not by Braden's team) was the cause and it appears it was. Braden helped reconfigure the issue to prevent further provlems. Not only that but he was a nice bloke and patient with me making sure I understood what happened to take it back to the other installers. Very reasonably priced for dealing with live mains power! Very happy with the service, thanks team.

What a super efficient company! My ceiling fan broke at Christmas and I found this company on a sign in my suburb. Every visit was seamless, Brayden advised me on fan selection and sent me links to buy online. Then Nathan and Costas came to replace the fan and ceiling light. Such awesome guys! Super friendly, really knowledgeable and figured out how to change a very high light. Will definitely have Braytech on speeddial as my electrician.

The whole team were fantastic from the first call. Casey was able to organise electricians to connect a new oven at short notice and kept in contact to coordinate timing. Adam and the guys called when on their way, were great to deal with and did a fab job on Friday afternoon. Really happy with the service and will call Braytech anytime we need an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
