Taking our house plans to Affinity glass. Staff are amazingly helpful. Always extremely happy and friendly to communicate with at all times. We've had our windows and large stacker doors put in and are extremely happy with quality. The awesome glazier gentlemen that fitted them all was friendly considerate and worked to high stand. When communicating with us he was very well spoken and informative. Can't rate this company highly enough. Thankyou all.

When I visited the Bunbury branch in the hope of buying replacement locks and rollers for a number of my 20+ year old BCG (now Affinity) windows, the office staff where very friendly and helpful. They didn't have the rollers in stock but the manager Jed took the time to take enough out of windows they had in store. Impressed with the service, I asked them to quote on new french doors onto our balcony. The quote came in significantly less than other quotes and yesterday Chris came to install it. He has done a great job, even managing to save the previously damaged render, saving us the repair job we expected. The doors look great. Our thanks to Jed and the team.

A great job installing our new front door and security door. The workmanship is excellent and a very tidy job. We will recommend without hesitation.

Frequently asked questions

How much do door installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on whether the job is a simple adjustment, a standard internal or external door install, or work involving custom doors or frame modifications. Quotes commonly combine a call-out fee, hourly labour and materials, with after-hours or emergency work usually attracting higher rates. The live pricing shown on this page reflects current regional rates and the typical job bands for each type of work.
Do door installers charge call-out fees?
Many door installers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Call-out fees are common in the rate card, though they may sometimes be waived if substantial work proceeds; it’s worth confirming this when requesting a quote. After-hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates.
Do door installers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Door installers generally need a contractor licence or registration in every Australian state and territory; in NSW the relevant authority is the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for a valid state contractor licence or registration displayed on quotes and advertising, an ABN with active registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
