Exceptional service! We had an urgent request after experiencing a break-in. Dave managed to handle our request on the day, fix our issues quickly and improve our door strength…all while making it appear like the incident had never happened. We Fix Doors will certainly be our first call for any minor or major door issues in the future.

We recently had an excellent experience with We Fix Doors Gold Coast. We were struggling with two sliding bi-fold doors that were incredibly difficult to open and even harder to lock. After a quick visit from David at We Fix Doors, our doors now open and shut as smooth as silk. We were so impressed with the ease of use after his adjustments. In addition, we had a sticky sliding door leading to the kids' room, which was also becoming a hassle. Thankfully, David was able to make it glide easily too with his expert touch. I would definitely recommend We Fix Doors to anyone on the Gold Coast dealing with doors that no longer function as smoothly as they once did. The service we received was not only quick but also incredibly reliable. It's clear that We Fix Doors prioritizes customer satisfaction and quality service. If your doors are giving you trouble, don’t hesitate to call David at We Fix Doors. His professional approach and efficient resolution to our door issues were truly commendable. Highly recommended for any door troubles!

We’ve had a set of sliding wooden bifold windows that had gotten so bad that one was hanging by a single pin and both were dragging at the bottom. David came out the day after I called and secured the problem window, before returning the next day to fix the other issues. Apart from needing a cosmetic touch up, they’re now operating better than when they were installed. David knows his stuff and it shows. To top it all off he’s a really lovely bloke and was very easy to deal with. Absolutely recommend him to anyone with doors (or windows) that need some love and attention.

Door Installation costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do door installers typically charge?

Costs vary widely depending on whether the job is a simple adjustment, a standard internal or external door install, or work involving custom doors or frame modifications. Quotes commonly combine a call-out fee, hourly labour and materials, with after-hours or emergency work usually attracting higher rates. The live pricing shown on this page reflects current regional rates and the typical job bands for each type of work.

Do door installers charge call-out fees?

Many door installers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Call-out fees are common in the rate card, though they may sometimes be waived if substantial work proceeds; it’s worth confirming this when requesting a quote. After-hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates.

Do door installers need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Door installers generally need a contractor licence or registration in every Australian state and territory; in NSW the relevant authority is the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for a valid state contractor licence or registration displayed on quotes and advertising, an ABN with active registration and appropriate public liability insurance.

How do I get a quote from We Fix Doors?
