I feel so fortunate to have found your wonderful business, what an amazing husband and wife team you are! You have really been able to help us in a stressful pickle where other businesses were not able to show the kindness and support you have shown. Our doors and fittings look so so amazing and the complements we are getting are overwhelming. We will forever put your name forward as it's been a real delight working with your family business. I'm sorry to read such a review that was not nice. But after all we can not please all the Karen's in the world. Keep up the good work affordable doors! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Recommended if you want an honest family owned company to provide good doors at a fair and reasonable price. Rob doesn't try to push anything on you.... a refreshing change from some of the big "cut-price"" door firms where we never felt comfortable and always felt under pressure. Doors were delivered and installed on time and budget. Their installer was excellent......thanks Dane. Minor hiccup with a door handle that was quickly and cheerfully rectified. These guys should very definitely be on your shopping list if you are after doors.

Frequently asked questions

How much do door installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on whether the job is a simple adjustment, a standard internal or external door install, or work involving custom doors or frame modifications. Quotes commonly combine a call-out fee, hourly labour and materials, with after-hours or emergency work usually attracting higher rates. The live pricing shown on this page reflects current regional rates and the typical job bands for each type of work.
Do door installers charge call-out fees?
Many door installers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Call-out fees are common in the rate card, though they may sometimes be waived if substantial work proceeds; it’s worth confirming this when requesting a quote. After-hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates.
Do door installers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Door installers generally need a contractor licence or registration in every Australian state and territory; in NSW the relevant authority is the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for a valid state contractor licence or registration displayed on quotes and advertising, an ABN with active registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
How do I get a quote from Affordable Doors?
Affordable Doors lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
