I’ve had a very pleasant experience with Jamie and Imperial Building Services so far. This has been such a refreshing change compared to my previous builder, who left our house untouched after multiple unreasonable price increases. Jamie was referred to us by someone from the building industry, and I was told he is very reliable — and that has absolutely proven to be true. Our project had been sitting at ground slab stage for a two-storey home when Jamie took over. It took quite some time for the construction to finally take off after being left in limbo, but Jamie got things moving again around June–July last year. We’re now on track for a turn-key completion around May–June this year, which is fantastic progress considering where we started. Jamie regularly visits the site and keeps me updated throughout the process. His communication has been consistent and reassuring. At no point did I feel the need to hire an independent inspector at every stage because I genuinely trust Jamie and the workmanship of his team. On top of that, Jamie provided a very fair and reasonable price to take over the build without costing me an arm and a leg — especially important after our previous experience. I also really appreciate that we’re able to discuss alterations and material selections along the way. It makes it much easier to visualise the final outcome, rather than locking everything in at pre-start and later realising some choices don’t suit the overall look of the home. I would absolutely choose Jamie again for any future renovations or if we decide to build another home. It’s great knowing you’re getting real value for your money along with honesty and reliability. Jamie and his team were recommended to us by another builder who was too busy to take on our garage conversion job. Despite our initial doubts, they impressed us with their work ethic and tidyness, and even our neighbour with their politeness and standard of work. Our initial plan was to erect a wall between the sleeping area and study nook, but Jamie suggested using the wardrobe as the demarcation instead, leaving space at the top for air-conditioning flow. We are pleased at how it turned out as the goal was met while keeping the sleeping area feeling spacious. The team is lovely and personable, will highly recommend them.

Jamie and his team have been exceptional! Our main bathroom was renovated beautifully and is exactly what we wanted! The workmanship is very high quality and his team of trades were respectful, punctual and cleaned up when they were done. Jamie had great communication with us along the way and we always knew what was happening and when. The job was done in the timeframe he gave us and we've been so happy with the way he managed the project that we've already booked him in to do our ensuite!
