Addstyle Master Builders

Few are the number of reviews I write. We all get so many requests, and often for the most trivial circumstances. I had little trouble, however, motivating myself to write this one for Addstyle. The news is replete with scandalous behaviour concerning shoddy builders/operators going broke or leaving houses unfinished. As is there ample in the news to suggest finding skilled tradespeople to complete jobs is fraught with difficulties attaining and/or retaining such people. Despite all that going on, Addstyle were superb in completing our renovation to a standard I suspect no other company could go near replicating. We’ve had a long involvement with Addstyle (three and a half years involving three stages) and in every way it’s been a gratifying one. We experienced a great working relationship with all Addstyle departments and that’s a credit to Addstyle’s structure. Addstyle conducts itself professionally with clear communication, know what they’re doing and, concerning with whom we had the closest contact over the years, Geoff and Dave, it’s been delightful getting to know them as people, with each truly excelling as building supervisors and each offering along the way great ideas and 'problem solving' suggestions. (Was I even remotely successful in impersonating someone who looked like they knew anything about matters of a practical nature? My wife would suggest that was highly unlikely.) We chose to live in our house while the renovation proceeded and at all times courtesy and proper consideration was given to our need for privacy. Even our two hypervigilant dogs managed to somehow come through unscathed! Inevitably, there was one or two times when things outside of Addstyle’s control didn’t meet Addstyle’s high standards and what we found was Addstyle’s willingness to make right what hadn’t met their expectations. That’s what you expect from a great company.

We couldn’t be happier with our home extension and the entire experience with Addstyle from start to finish. From the very first meeting, Simon and the design team were incredible — they really listened to what we wanted and came up with a design that felt seamless with the existing house while adding so much light and space. Once construction began, Geoff, our building supervisor, was outstanding. He kept us updated at every stage, handled any questions promptly, and made sure the workmanship was top quality. The finished result has exceeded our expectations — it looks amazing and feels like it was always meant to be part of our home. We would absolutely recommend Addstyle and especially Simon, the design team, and Geoff, to anyone considering an extension or renovation. Beyond happy!!

We absolutely recommend Addstyle to anyone wanting major work done to a period home. From our terrazzo floors to the ceiling cornices, Addstyle took care of our concerns and fulfilled our wishes as if we were family. They're not cheap, but they're value, and the whole experience was hugely positive. Many of Addstyle's trades are retained on staff and everyone is committed to an excellent outcome. And we must mention Dave McDonald, our Building Supervisor. He was always available and and responsive, making creative suggestions every time we started a sentence with: "Dave, what if we also ...?" After researching many renovation builders we decided upon Addstyle due to their stellar reputation as a long-term builder in the renovation industry. Maintaining period features along with turning our house into a modern livable space for a large family was high on our list of priorities along with ensuring a quick hassle free build. From the moment we met with the designers we were very impressed with their ability to understand what our family needed along with our Wishlist of inclusions and designed a wonderful second story addition and remodel of living areas downstairs. As we are a corner block in a prominent position, it was important to us that the design complimented the street and we have had nothing but great feedback from neighbours! The build was stress free and any issues were dealt with quickly and professionally by our wonderful supervisors, Geoff and Dave, who always made themselves available. All Addstyle staff had excellent communication throughout the whole process. A major selling point was our ability to live in the house whilst the renovation was done and Addstyle made that very easy for us. All tradesmen were respectful to the fact we were living there with children and maintained a clean and safe worksite. We couldn’t be happier with the final result which was delivered on schedule. We would definitely recommend Addstyle and are looking forward to planning our next stage of renovations with them!

We recently had our holiday home built by Addstyle in Perth Hills. Ours was a bit difficult project, considering BAL and slope issues. We selected Addstyle as it has a long history of successful projects, with so many awards. Its more costly compared to some other builders but you can have a peace of mind considering today's volatile market and so many scary stories all around. We are extremely happy with the end results and special thanks to Geoff who has been so helpful during entire construction and handover process. Overall they are a perfect team
