  Scott and the team at SKB built our dream holiday house. We have built many times but wanted a local builder who had local trades. Scott did not disappoint. Scott is a gentleman and a man of his word which is a hard thing to find anymore. The team’s attention to detail can’t be faulted and ongoing communication ensured we ended up with a product we loved. Most importantly, stuck to the build timeframe given. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to build.

  We engaged Scott and SKB Construction to build our home in Mount Martha and found him through the referral of a friend. We ended up building through Covid, and Scott and his crew were amazing. Not only did they all stay calm, professional, and focused during the crazy times for the construction industry, but they also delivered our home on time, and the only extras above contract were the ones we chose to add. When a product wasn't available, Scott and the crew went above and beyond to source other products of equivalent quality and cost, and communicated with us throughout the entire process. I am Building Designer with 25 years of experience in the construction industry and I can confidently say Scott is one of the best I've come across. We enjoyed the process so much, and the quality of the build was so good, that we are building another home and haven't even considered getting quotes from other builders. We will use Scott and SKR Construction anytime without hesitation.

  We were extremely happy with Scott and the entire SKB team. From the outset, the SKB quoting process was both comprehensive and transparent, which meant we always knew exactly where we stood in relation to our budget. There was never any ambiguity or grey area around costs or responsibilities, which gave us great confidence from the very beginning. Scott held regular meetings throughout the build and was always approachable, available, and proactive when it came to queries or problem-solving. He has an excellent team around him, and we genuinely enjoyed working with every single one of them. Scott also worked seamlessly with our designer, ensuring communication between all three parties was clear, collaborative, and efficient. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. Scott has a strong eye for detail and aesthetics, and the finished result reflects a very high standard of care and craftsmanship. Importantly, Scott places a real emphasis on positive client relationships — we felt looked after and cared for throughout the entire process. We couldn’t be happier with our finished renovations and would have absolutely no hesitation in using Scott again or recommending him to anyone looking to build or undertake improvements to their home.

  I am deeply grateful for the assistance and amazing work carried out by Scott and his SKB team. I was left in a terrible situation by a builder and Scott swooped in and literally saved the day (and my sanity). My project was completed professionally and to a high standard and the communication was outstanding. You want Scott to manage your build because he is a rare gem who remains level headed and is willing to rise to any challenge presented to him. Highly recommend SKB!

  We chose SKB Construction to build our home. At no stage did we ever regret this decision. Throughout the build Scott Rutledge and his team had a can do attitude where nothing was ever a problem. The team was always approachable and always happy to pass on their expertise to suggest better ways to do things. I was impressed by Scott’s architectural flair.
