We had a wonderful experience working with NB Custom Builds on our recent renovation and extension. From the very beginning, the pre-construction communication was clear, detailed and reassuring, which set a great tone for the entire build. Director Nick was outstanding throughout the process — open, responsive, understanding and always solution-focused. No question was ever too small, and we always felt heard and supported. The core onsite team, led by Project Manager Craig, were respectful, reliable and genuinely lovely to work with, and the wider group of contractors were equally professional and happy to collaborate with us and our ideas. Because we were working with an existing house and adding an extension, there was always a need for teamwork, flexibility and problem-solving on the go. Quality of work was clearly a priority at every stage, with regular site visits during construction and thoughtful solutions offered that aligned with our budget. We also had a tight timeframe, and not only was it met — the build was delivered a full week early, which speaks volumes about their organisation and commitment. Overall, a highly collaborative, professional and caring team. We’re incredibly happy with the result and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering a renovation or build.

Working with Nick on the pre construction phase has been an absolute life saver. We engaged Nick and his team to support us through the risk assessment, town planning, and full project management of our build at Mount Eliza, a process that spanned more than two years. Throughout this time, Nick demonstrated exceptional professionalism, and reliability. Nick was consistently easy to communicate with and remained on top of every stage of the building project. He was proactive in problem-solving and successfully navigated a number of unexpected challenges, which added complexity to an already demanding project. This was particularly impressive given the steep and challenging nature of the terrain. Nick and his team delivered exceptional workmanship, with the quality of the build clearly evident at each stage of construction. From early on, we developed a strong level of trust in Nick and his team, which was reinforced by their transparency, consistency, and attention to detail. Communication was always clear and timely. Nick was readily available and regularly organised meetings at his office or on site, ensuring we were well informed of progress and upcoming milestones. From the commencement of construction, deadlines were met, and the build was completed efficiently within a short timeframe….amazing! Craig (Site Manager) was also consistently available and guided us through the building site whenever required, providing reassurance and clarity throughout the process. Nick demonstrated a high level of flexibility and accommodating when changes were required during the build, making what could have been a stressful process feel manageable and well controlled. He also worked closely with our interior designer, creating a highly collaborative and effective working relationship that truly felt like a dream team. The use of the WunderBuild app was particularly beneficial. It kept us informed of project finances, progress updates, and included regular photographic documentation. The ability to review and approve variations, track invoices through the app made communication seamless and efficient. It also helped us in keeping track and managing our budget. Even after the build was completed, Nick and his team have remained responsive to any queries, which further reflects their professionalism and commitment to client satisfaction. Nick was great to work with. Open minded to My design and vision, whilst using his own experience to help make it affordable and workable. A complete back to skeleton refurb completed within 7 months. I enjoyed the experience and happy to work with NB Customs again.

Nick and his team stepped into a difficult situation and essentially saved the day for us. They are a professional team with excellent communicatiuon skills. No BS. No false inflated promises. Completed our project....EARLY - i know right - unheard of.....we are so appreciative to Nick and team for helping us to complete our (traumatic) renovation journey on such a positive note. Grateful.
