Cindy and Kristi refreshed the natural timber oil on the exterior of my house and deck and it gleams! I’m so happy. They did an excellent job, even down to the tiniest of details in my ancient window frames. They are really friendly, work super hard and were considerate of my business (moving to other parts of the house when I had clients arriving). I was really comfortable with them around my home. My neighbours were impressed too!

Frequently asked questions

How much do builders typically charge?
Builder costs vary widely depending on the job type and complexity. Minor repairs are generally much less than extensions, small builds or structural alterations that need foundations, framing or specialist input. Most quotes include a call‑out fee plus labour and materials, and the page shows live pricing to help you compare options.
Do builders charge call-out fees?
Call‑out fees are common and typically cover travel and an initial inspection or assessment. This fee is usually separate from hourly labour and materials, and after‑hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates. Ask whether a call‑out or minimum charge applies when requesting quotes.
Do builders need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Building work generally needs to be carried out by a licensed builder in every state and territory, and NSW builders are regulated by NSW Fair Trading. Builders should be able to provide their state builder/contractor licence number and show appropriate insurances and ABN/GST registration. In Victoria, domestic building insurance is required above a state threshold for certain contracts.
