Not only is there exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail from the site team, but clear communication is prioritised from the start through to the end. This ensured any issues during the build process were quickly and easily resolved in the best interest of everyone. As an architect I worked with Lou Projects on a new CLT Passivhaus project in Dulwich Hill, and would definitely be keen to work with them again on any other projects in the future.

Our project was something we approached with a great deal of excitement and caution. We were investing all of our available budget, and more, into our new, high-performance home. As much as we were looking for a builder with the knowledge and experience to give us the home we wanted, we were looking for someone we could trust to deliver on his word. Andrew George and the Lou Projects team have not only met our expectations, they’ve well and truly exceeded them. Andrew and our site supervisor Remy have delivered a beautiful, comfortable and energy efficient home that we love and enjoy every single day. As well as being a home that we know is foundationally solid, with all the right retaining walls and drainage systems, every single detail is exquisitely finished, thanks largely to Remy’s master carpenter levels of skill. During the design phase of our home our architect, Luke Farrugia, told us that all of the Lou Projects team are exceptionally passionate about and proud of their work. And because Andrew holds himself and his team to such high standards, all of the sub-contractors from Peter the plumber to Tommy the painter were professionals with the highest skills and pride in their work. Andrew and Remy responded to all of our communications on the very same day or the next day. This timely response made a huge difference to our stress levels and also our ability to get exactly the house we wanted. If you are looking for a builder, we can’t recommend Andrew and Lou Projects highly enough. A rare find today, Andrew is a man of his word. The overall experience working with Lou Projects was fantastic and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Our job had inherent complexity being a ground floor unit in Sydney with difficult access. Our goal was for an extensive renovation involving relocating existing rooms on the floor plan. Andrew and the team at Lou projects worked with us to scope out the project and delivered to an exceptionally high standard. Whilst they typically specialise in large house builds they able to transpose this expertise into our small and rather dark apartment, helping us open it up into a more expansive and better laid out space. Luke was the site manager for our job and worked with us extremely well including handling our variations that came up along the way, not to mention navigating with strata and keeping our neighbours comfortable and reassured during the process. You can clearly see that Andrew and his team are passionate about quality and building to a high standard, I would definitely work with them again in the future.

We recently chose Lou Projects to build our dream family home and are absolutely thrilled with the experience and result. From the very start Andrew, Luke and the team understood the vision we had to integrate our old 60s brick cottage with a modern extension while maintaining its warmth and character, and worked seamlessly with us and our architect to bring the design to life. Their communication, patience and support was excellent throughout the project. They kept us informed and involved, setting realistic expectations with a no surprises approach. Every part of the build was planned in great detail and skilfully executed with a high standard of craftsmanship. They understood the needs of our growing family and helped us select materials and make choices that were both beautiful and practical for life with young kids. Likewise, they helped us incorporate sustainable and energy efficient elements that will reduce the ongoing cost of running a busy home. The house is now comfortable in all weather conditions, and we find ourselves relying on heating and cooling far less. We love how effortlessly the property transitions from old to new, and how it still feels like home. Much of this is down to how well Lou Projects executed on our architect's design, and took initiative to reuse and incorporate elements from the original building. Our favourite example of this is the hardwood window awnings that Lou Projects handmade out of timber that was taken out of old structures to make way for the extension. Another example is the way they respected and protected established trees and plants on our property when it would have been much easier to remove or damage them in the process of construction. It was lovely to see their commitment to reducing waste and preserving the best bits of our old home. We are so thankful to Andrew, Luke, Ineka and the team for our home and highly recommend Lou Projects to anyone looking to build or renovate.

Lou Projects were recommended to us by Architect Luke Farrugia, Luke had designed the renovation, and extension, to be done on our property. Luke had worked with Andrew and his team on previous projects, and he was confident that they were capable of achieving the quality result that we were wanting. The extension required some very detailed carpentry skills, that would be the making, or the breaking, of Architect Luke Farrugia's, and our, desired result. Our first meeting with Andrew gave us with the confidence to have him quote the cost for the build, which we accepted. Not only did all of our expectations be met, the project went smoothly, was finished on budget, and on time... Led by site supervisor, and main carpenter, Luke Millington, Andrews team excelled in their on-site capabilities, and the personal skills to make our daily interactions a pleasure. Close neighbours were also impressed by the quiet, and respectful manor, in which all trades conducted themselves on site during the build.
