KDF Constructions completed a renovation of our laundry, with toilet and large storage area. The space connects to our garage (internal access) and one of our main access points (back door) to outdoors. Right from the start, Kim was wonderful in informing us on the best possible process to take. Our specifications were loose, but we had specific needs that had to be accomplished and Kim was great in offering us his specialist advice to make sure we made the best possible decision. Again, Kim was wonderful in providing advice on the best possible solution to the particulars we required. Examples include: - creating one central space, which was previously two rooms separated by walls and doorways. - creating one leveled flooring space that had previously been two different flooring with different heights. - creating a vast custom made, five door storage space unit. This included custom doors, shelves and freestanding area designed around our particular needs. - sourcing and organising other trades to complete any additional work i.e. plumber, tiler, cabinet maker, painter - all of which Kim managed and completed quality control of their work. This provided us with peace of mind that the work was being done to the highest of standards the whole way through. Right through the process Kim would inform us of which trade outlets we needed to visit in order the select specific items to suit our taste. Kim would also provide us with a timely schedule for the week, or next few days ahead so as to plan our week around the renovation. On a side note, this renovation has been over 20 years in the making. My parents delayed doing this area when the rest of the house was previously renovated. When we had our initial few meetings and quotes with Kim, my Mum was making the plans. Unfortunately, one week before Kim planned on starting the renovation, my Mum passed away. Kim was so gracious and kind in allowing us to delay the start, until we were ready to manage the process. It’s just so unfortunate that my Mum isn’t here to enjoy all the wonderful work Kim completed on this renovation. Kim fulfilled exactly what we wanted, he in fact exceeded our expectations. The space is so functional and perfect for our needs. There is no doubt that we would highly recommend using KDF Constructions for your next building project. It was a pleasure having Kim drive our renovation. His keen eye for quality, and also the fact that he would take his time to complete all work to the highest of standards was very much appreciated. Kim from KDF Constructions did a fantastic job restumping one corner of our house. He turned up right on time every day, was friendly and easy to deal with, and explained things clearly along the way. The price was more than fair and the quality of the work was excellent. Kim is a knowledge and an approachable builder on the Central Coast who will always get back to you. We use KDF Construction as our chosen building partner for our plumbing company where building changes, etc... are required.
