  I started my house project thinking I would be able to manage everything myself. I quickly realised I was wrong — the job was a mammoth undertaking involving countless consultants, variations, and a huge amount of time that my wife and I had not fully prepared for. I had not appreciated that a custom home requires more input than any other project I had undertaken. Every detail needs to be considered and signed off: how you want the tile laid, the height of the curtains, the width of the pelmets, the type of tap, the length of the spout, even the exact height of the tap fitting. The decisions never seem to end, and any delay costs money. We lost our interior designer early on and chose not to replace her, which only made the project more demanding. As the workload grew, time became a serious issue. At that point, we reached out to David, who we had worked with some years ago, and his involvement has made a real difference. David has helped us get the project back on track and provided the guidance and structure we needed. Bringing him in was a worthwhile investment, and I would strongly recommend his services to anyone facing a complex build.
