Wow many thanks for the professional service and help to beat the electricity price hikes from Solarmio run by Liz and Tony. Couldn't have been happier with the awesome service and product we have ended up with and the efficiency of the job being completed by their qualified and competent tradespeople who carried out the task without issue. It's very daunting to know what to get with solar power being so many companies out there and knowing the sad stories some people have had to deal with but have full trust in these guys. Thanks to Liz and Tony

We had a tight roof space in our 1960 house. Cool or Cosy were the only company that said they could actually instal Insulation in the roof! Tony was friendly and prompt to get Gabriel out to quote, who was extremely knowledgable about our options. Gabriel was also the one who did the job, which was great. Thank you guys for our new insulation!

I live in a rural area so know that city businesses have to maximize their travel time to minimise costs for us but I was kept well informed about what was happening. The staff were all friendly and helpful. To be honest I bought on a recommendation so don't feel I can comment on quality and value. I believe you get what you pay for to some extent so happy customers were more important than looking for the cheapest price. They did all they said they would do, efficiently and courteously. Well done.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND We absolutely loved dealing with Cool or Cosy Perth. They helped us get our bills organised, had the panels we needed installed quickly and professionally and set us up with an app and coaching on how to make the most out of our solar power. We couldn't be happier with the easy service and are already saving so much money!

Excellent service from start to finish. The tradesmen were on time, polite & clean, and Liz in the office was magic too. Highly recommended for a solar installation.

Frequently asked questions

How much do solar installers typically charge?

Solar costs vary widely depending on system size, equipment choices, roof access and whether additional electrical upgrades or battery work are required. Simple panel adds or routine maintenance are typically much less involved than full system installs or battery integrations. This page shows live pricing to help compare current rates alongside the specific scope of your job.

Do solar installers charge call-out fees?

Yes — call-out fees are common for solar installers and are often charged to cover attendance and an initial assessment. Call-outs are usually separate from hourly labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency visits typically attract higher rates. Confirm whether a call-out fee is included or listed separately when comparing quotes.

Do solar installers need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Solar installation work is required to be carried out by a licensed installer in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW installers are licensed through NSW Fair Trading. Many installers also hold industry credentials such as Clean Energy Council accreditation and may display a valid state electrical contractor licence on quotes, as well as public liability insurance. These credentials can help indicate the installer has relevant training and compliance practices.
