Leeson Solar

I was very impressed with the pre-sales service by Daniel and the team at Leeson solar. The experience was a lot more thorough than the other solar companies we got quotes from, so we went ahead and bought a system through them. We've now had the system installed and running for a few months and are very happy with the quality of the install and the after sales support. Loving the savings on our power bill! But be warned that watching the dashboard of your power use and solar generation can be a bit addictive!

Installation in 2012 was brilliant. The team were knowledgeable, professional, engaging and I was very happy. But the support when issues were encountered with the system has been lacking. My inverter screen went blank after a few years, and when I called for support, was told they no longer do residential support, only commercial and that I hadn't paid for the extended warranty with them, so it's not covered. Fast forward to 2019, where I noticed that the inverter had the red light flashing and Leeson was supporting residential again. With some guidance, I was able to get error logs that dated back to at least 2016 and was informed of an historical water ingress issue with the Trina Panels which could possibly be one of the things impacting our system. Over the next 2 years there were multiple emails and phone calls with Leeson, and my agreement to pay the non-refundable $350 call out fee. In this time, I unknowingly had an ineffective fire hazard on my roof and they still hadn't come to investigate. I've moved on to another company who have been excellent, identified the fault and are putting in a warranty claim. Leesons lack of support has cost me a lot of money and time and I cannot recommend them. EDITED TO ADD I have adjusted the stars and feel its important to update this story. Leeson, did end up following up last year, and managed the entire replacement of my panels, support structures etc and ensured I was not out of pocket for the services I paid for over the past couple of years or the replacements. I cannot fault the attention to detail and support and service I did receive from that point on. To the extent, that I will be a returning customer to Leeson when I move to a bigger system and battery.

Very happy with the service provided by Leeson Solar with our solar panel installation. Getting our quote and managing the installation during Melbourne's lock-down presented a challenge but was handled both professionally and efficiently by Daniel and the team. Highly recommend them if you are considering a solar installation.
