Our solar system has been operating for 15 months perfectly. We live in a remote area in a valley without all day sun. Thanks to the consultation, design and install of our panels, battery and new switchboard we had a couple of power bills with credit over summer and have drastically reduced our winter power bills. Thanks John 👍

I have an issue with my communication module and therefore unable to send a signal to my app. I was sent a troubleshooting video to DIY by the support staff from Wattle Powr. Unfortunately, it failed due to a suspected hardware issue. I was then asked to deal with the manufacturer directly by providing me with their hotline. I am extremely disappointed with how Wattle Powr manages this and why bother going through a middle person who can’t assist. During the sales pitch, I was told that CBA chooses to partner them due to their reliability. I'm not sure this is the case. Update: Astrid from the Support team, reached out subsequent to this post. She was very professional and patient. After some troubleshooting, it was an hardware issue. The manufacturer sent a replacement and it works. All resolved within two weeks.

I recently had Wattle Powr install a solar system at my home, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and transparent throughout the process. Installation was smooth and efficient—the crew arrived on time, worked neatly, and ongoing communication was great. I’d highly recommend them to anyone considering solar—especially if you want a hassle-free experience with great results.

Frequently asked questions

How much do solar installers typically charge?

Solar costs vary widely depending on system size, equipment choices, roof access and whether additional electrical upgrades or battery work are required. Simple panel adds or routine maintenance are typically much less involved than full system installs or battery integrations. This page shows live pricing to help compare current rates alongside the specific scope of your job.

Do solar installers charge call-out fees?

Yes — call-out fees are common for solar installers and are often charged to cover attendance and an initial assessment. Call-outs are usually separate from hourly labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency visits typically attract higher rates. Confirm whether a call-out fee is included or listed separately when comparing quotes.

Do solar installers need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Solar installation work is required to be carried out by a licensed installer in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW installers are licensed through NSW Fair Trading. Many installers also hold industry credentials such as Clean Energy Council accreditation and may display a valid state electrical contractor licence on quotes, as well as public liability insurance. These credentials can help indicate the installer has relevant training and compliance practices.
