Jarrod was nothing short or amazing. He was communicative, supported my crazy choices, gave great advice, was punctual and so so helpful. He went over and above and created the most beautiful pool for our new backyard space! Highly recommend. And all his pools come standard as magnesium! Something others charge so much extra for! I will only use him for any future pools we do and will recommend him to anyone who asks me.

We had a great experience with Jarrod from Onshore Pool Construction. He talked us through all the options and gave really balanced advice — including explaining that if you go with a low-chlorine “naked freshwater” system, you just need to stay on top of maintenance to keep it running well. When a huge downpour caused unexpected problems during the build, Jarrod was able to talk us through our options and problem solve it. It’s easy when things go smoothly, but the real test is how someone handles challenges — and he was excellent. We absolutely love our pool and use it nearly every day. Highly recommend Jarrod and the team at Onshore Pool Construction!

Jarrod did an amazing job of building our pool. It is exactly the way we wanted it and Jarrod worked with all the other trades to make sure it was perfect. Everything went smoothly, timelines were kept and the site was tidy. Would highly recommend Onshore Pool Construction to build your pool. Thanks Jarrod for all of your help both during the build and after completion.

Jarrod has a happy disposition which is so necessary for his exceptional communication skills at every level (customer, team, suppliers) He responds quickly keeping you in the loop. He also has a fine eye for detail and his workmanship and knowledge are impressive. Ours was also a fun project thanks to Jarrod (boss man) and the boys.

Frequently asked questions

How much do pool builders typically charge?

Pool building and repair costs vary widely by job type and complexity. New in-ground pools, renovations and structural repairs each require different labour, materials and equipment, with pool size, site access and finishes strongly affecting the total. The live pricing shown on this page can help you compare quotes.

Do pool builders charge call-out fees?

Call-out fees are common for attendance, initial diagnostics and minor repairs and are typically charged in addition to hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance often attracts higher rates. It's worth confirming any call-out or minimum charge when requesting quotes.

Do pool builders need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Pool builders generally need a state pool builder licence or appropriate building contractor registration in Australia, and in NSW this work is regulated by NSW Fair Trading. You should expect a provider to show a valid state licence or registration on quotes and evidence of public liability insurance.
