Mark has visited us twice to fix a jammed internal door and broken lock on an external door, then to fix the external door a second time. He responds promptly, works efficiently and is very pleasant. The second time he visited, he arrived the same day and fixed the door under warranty for free. Would absolutely recommend his services.

A few weeks before Christmas Mark dropped by our East Freo townhouse at the appointed time and discussed our requirements and provided a written quote which was accepted. He returned later that same week and completed the agreed work to a very high standard. We can now deadlock all external doors of the house and every door utilizes the same key. We couldn’t be more pleased with Mark’s professionalism.

Mark from Fremantle Lock Service is an extremely thoughtful person and cares for his customers. We had to get our locks changed ASAP and came by that day to help us out. It is very rare to find someone who is willing and actually happy to do more than asked. He is honestly a very nice and honest person and will highly recommend him to everyone.

When my husband explained the problem with the lock on the phone, Mark gave him some advice which fixed the lock and saved us the cost of a callout. This was extremely generous of Mark because we were calling to arrange for him to come out. We thoroughly recommend him! His advice was spot on and his attitude fantastic!

Mark was very prompt and polite. His services were reasonably priced. I locked myself out of my apartment and called him. He arrived in 15 minutes and gave me new keys for all my locks and replaced one old damaged lock on the spot. I highly recommend his business.

Frequently asked questions

How much do locksmiths typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job — a simple key cut or rekey is usually much less than emergency entry or full hardware replacement. This page shows live pricing for local providers to help you compare options. Many locksmiths charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate and materials, and after-hours or emergency work generally attracts higher rates.
Do locksmiths charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. This fee is usually separate from labour and materials and may apply even for quick or small jobs. It's worth confirming any call-out or minimum charge when getting quotes.
Do locksmiths need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Locksmithing is a licensed occupation across Australia, and in NSW licences are issued by the NSW Police Force — Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED). You should expect a provider to display a valid state security licence number and to hold industry credentials such as MLAA, LGA or ASIAL membership, a Certificate III in Locksmithing, an ABN with GST registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
Does Fremantle Lock Service have a verified ABN?
Yes. Fremantle Lock Service has completed ABN verification on SureQuote.
How do I get a quote from Fremantle Lock Service?
Fremantle Lock Service lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
