There was a sign on the door saying the office was unattended…the locksmith came out and apologized and said he was on his way out to a job..he asked what we were after..we wanted 2 keys cut..come in and I’ll cut the 2 keys …job all done in a couple of minutes..he also took a call while he was cutting the keys..apologized and said he was on his way as soon as he cut the keys…you could not fault the service..not gushy just plain old fashioned expert service…everything you would wish from a locksmith…5 stars no …more like 9 stars…thank you for taking the time…by the way both keys work perfectly…thanks a million…

Coming home at night to a malfunctioning door and key that won’t work is less than ideal at any time, let alone when it’s late. I called up Vortex Locksmiths and they were there within 15 minutes and fixed the situation quickly and without hassle. The lovely person then also took a look at my door, identified a problem with that and fixed that too – as well as sorting out my keys. He went absolutely above and beyond with what was needed and was an incredibly honest, transparent and great person. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs a locksmith – day or night! Thank you!

Accidentally locked ourselves out of our apartment and both our real estate agent and strata couldn't provide a key due to it being the weekend. Called one locksmith who charged a high call out fee and wasn't at all helpful. Then called Balmain East Locksmiths who offered a reasonable rate and was at my apartment within 10mins. Couldn't pick the lock but had a special tool which allowed to push the door handle down on the other side. Made a difficult situation one of relief and would happily recommend them! Very happy customer

It't not often you could really rate a business for turning you away. However i called Balmain locksmiths with a need to have an internal broken lock fixed during the weekend. I didn't need anyone to unlock it as i was inside the building at the time, but after calling I found out I just needed to swap the lock over which was a simple procedure. I told the person i spoke to that I really couldn't afford to spend a lot of money to get it fixed as it was an internal door and i could do with our the lock (but would prefer not to). Instead of trying to pressure me into enlisting their services, i was told that if i had a basic amount of handy man knowledge that i could replace it myself and save myself the money of enlisting their professional skills. That kind of frank honesty is rare to find amongst trades people, and the advice that i was given for free to fix the problem myself certainly endeared a huge amount of goodwill from me. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

After accidentally locking the keys inside the house after a night out, every locksmith we called couldn't make it out to our place until we found Vortex - who were there promptly and within minutes had us back inside! An excellent job at a ridiculous hour of the night/morning!
