Ryan helped me move my daughter into her University apartment. With my bad back it was great to have a strong lad like Ryan to do all the heavy lifting. Hey also assembled a bunch of recently bought furniture (bed, desk, couch) and took the extra step to throw all the packing materials etc into the general waste or recycle as appropriate. I would whole heartedly recommend Ryan’s services. He is very safety conscience with a strong and efficient work ethic.

Frequently asked questions

How much do handymen typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the task, its complexity and how long the job takes. Simple single-visit repairs or flatpack assembly are typically less than multi-item or specialist work that requires extra trades. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes and identify cost drivers.
Do handymen charge call-out fees?
Many handymen charge a call-out fee to attend a property, which is often separate from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance or weekend work commonly attracts higher rates. It's a good idea to confirm whether the call-out is included in the quote or charged separately.
What qualifications should I look for in a handyman?
Handymen are generally unlicensed for small jobs, so look for industry affiliations such as the Handyman and Home Maintenance Association, Housing Industry Association (HIA) membership or Master Builders involvement for larger-scope work. Check they hold an ABN, adequate public liability insurance and can provide a clear written quote separating labour and materials. For jobs that become large or high-value, confirm whether a state contractor licence or builder registration may be required.
How do I get a quote from Walker's on it?
Walker's on it lists email or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
