I had Alex come out and install 4 fan w/ lights, remove an old fan and extended some wiring for a new light switch after contacting Alex on Friday (very short notice) for today's job being Monday. He was very happy to help me with this job, quick and efficient with his work and getting back to me in what I needed done, very professional and easy to talk to. He explained how to use the remote and how to remove the lighting to replace if I ever needed to. Alex also cleaned up after himself. I highly recommend Alex for any electrical work. Thanks Alex for all your help today

Alex is my regular electrician and I highly recommend him. He is professional and well-mannered, very patient explaining each process to a lay person like me. Most valuable has been his advice on electrical safety. Very satisfied with all the jobs he had done for me.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from Comma Electrical?
Comma Electrical lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
