Orion Tech Electrical

We recently had the pleasure of working with Tom from Orion Tech Electrical, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Tom was a fantastic communicator - clear, prompt, and professional. He arrived on time, and his attention to detail was second to none. Nothing was too hard for Tom. He tackled everything with a can-do attitude, and it was clear he takes real pride in his work. The job wasn’t rushed - everything was patched, finished, and cleaned up properly. Tasks included upgrading our switchboard, replacing a mix of switches and lights, and installing two solar skylights. An absolute pleasure to work with, and we can’t recommend Tom and his team highly enough!

Great small business and we are repeat customers - for good reason. We’ve had Orion Tech out multiple times. Their prices are fair but more importantly, the value of their work is excellent. Tom and his apprentice Mitch identified critical electrical issues on two separate visits while completing their original scope of work. They made the electrical issues safe, raised them professionally with photos, and clearly explained the hazards for my review and action. Orion Tech also provides quality air conditioning servicing, which was great because one of our air conditioners felt like it just blew air. Tom booked us in quickly, and while servicing our A/Cs, he found the unit with the known fault was installed with the single phase and neutral earth wires installed the wrong way - This is extremely dangerous and we are very lucky that nothing had gone wrong to date. Tom made this issue safe immediately and briefed me of the issue in simple language with supporting images to allow me to then notify the installer for their own quality checks for installations in the future. If you have air conditioners in your home, seriously consider getting them serviced by Orion who clearly do thorough checks beyond gas and cleaning filters. Regarding my experience with pricing: When I spoke with the air con installer, he offered to service the units and provided an ‘on the spot’ price that was $100 more per unit than Orion tech. Beyond Orion Tech's electrical service delivery, my family felt safe and enjoyed having Orion Tech in our home, they have even created a list of additional electrical work so we can book Tom again. We will be happy to have Tom and his team around in the future, we feel that we have found our electrical service provider and will continue to book them for any future work. I have recommended, and will continue to recommend Orion Tech.

Tom (and his apprentice, Mitch) have been an absolute pleasure to work with. We have taken on a big project in updating our new home, with replacing the existing halogen downlights to low-power LED'S (with dimmers), updated feature lights to the front and internal stairway, installed several new GPO's with USB charging points, moved some Ethernet data and coaxial points to wall-mount some TV's and also supplied & installed a split AC unit to a bedroom. Tom is highly professional in his approach and communication - it's as easy as sending some pics or videos thru to Tom's WhatsApp outlining what works are required 😉 I can't recommend Tom at Orion Tech highly enough. Tom and Mitch have just completed a couple of full days of varied work at my place, and I am so happy to recommend them. From Tom's helpful, efficient and friendly approach to giving me options and quoting me on them, to the work being carried out in the same professional yet easy manner.. they were so great to deal with. And there's nothing they can't and won't do!.. from crawling through small sandy spaces, to getting into a possum wrecked ceiling space, to getting me extra power in awkward places, and power where there had been none, and new air conditioning, and new lighting, and even hanging a chandelier on the go!
