Hiscocks recently installed our EV car charger for us at our home address. Darren came out to visit and talk through the job and followed up with a quote the next day. Darren gave us two options for the install: 1) install the charger and upgrade the main power switch in our fuse box – this was the cheapest safe option, and 2) install the charger and upgrade the entire fusebox to modern safety standards. Interestingly, we also got quotes from two other companies (one of them was JetCharge) and they only gave us option 2. Anyway, we decided to go with option 2 and the following week Brendan and Kal from Hiscocks came to do the install. I only have praise for their work. They turned up exactly when they said they would (7am), were happy to listen to me asking far too many questions and did a fantastic job installing the EV charger and the fusebox upgrades (see photos) and tidying up. I particularly like how neat they made the cabling and isolator on the other side of the pillar to the EV charger, definitely exceeded expectations! Once they had completed the fusebox upgrades (this was a bigger job than you might think so this was about 4pm by this time) they still had some time left in the day so they tracked down a shorting circuit for me and fixed that – fault-finding work was not included in the quote. Once Brendan and Kal had left I got a call in the evening from Darren just checking everything went well which was a nice follow-up. We initially had signed up Jet Charge to do the install as part of our car purchase agreement. But after multiple blunders by their admin team we decided to call time on them and we are very glad we did! Whilst Hiscocks was not the cheapest quote, I’m very happy to pay more for the quality work of these guys plus the time it took for Darren to visit us for the quote (Hiscocks were the only company to send someone out). I’ll definitely be going back to them for any electrical work we need doing in the future and 100% recommend them for your EV car charger install.

We recently employed Hiscocks Electrical to install RCDs and smoke alarms at our property. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone seeking a reliable, professional and trustworthy company to carry out their electrical work. The quality of customer service and clear communication offered by Roslyn was second to none. Brendan carried out the installation to a very high standard and left everything clean and tidy after the job was completed. All this and at a very competitive price too. Service and customer care of this quality is very rare these days.

Brendan replaced our hard-wired fire alarms. He did an amazing job, and I was really happy with the whole process from calling to schedule right through to paying invoice. Great team, & I will definitely ask for Brendan to complete electrical work for us again. Highly recommended.

Moving into our brand new home , we felt the importance of having a home security camera network set up. Hiscocks Electrical managed all of the design , set up and install with great efficiency and a professional finish. Best of all the hand over and instructions on how to use the system in layman's terms was were Darren and his team really went above and beyond. Couldn't recommend them enough. Great price too.

Hiscocks Electical provided an excellent service. They arrived very punctually, did the job exactly as requested and cleaned up after themselves, all at very good value. I then broke the cardinal rule and asked if they might do something else whilst there, without a moment’s hesitation they retrieved the extra parts from a local supplier, returned and completed the extra work for me. I was very impressed with the quality and affordability of the service I received from Hiscocks Electrical. They gave me great advice on the phone when I called for a quote, and then they were able to come around to my place very promptly, and did a excellent job at a lower cost than the other electricians that quoted. They will certainly be my go-to electricians from now on!
