Thanks to Nigel, Gill, Zac, Zeb and Halle we now have 2 batteries to store our solar power. Your service has been comprehensive and friendly at all times. There was an issue with WIFI connectivity but Zac resolved that today. We trust that we will now save more on our power bills while contributing to protecting the environment. Thanks again.

Had an off grid battery system installed in my caravan about 15 months ago by DES. I’ve since travelled Australia and live in my van full time. We are a family of 4 and have used this system flat out. Nigel put together the best system our needs and budget, while Mathew did the install on the van. Could not fault the work these guys have done and the customer service that I am still receiving today is second to none. Every email that I sent was always responded to promptly and any questions that I had were explained to me. Well done guys. Would definitely recommend!

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from DES Electrical & Solar?
DES Electrical & Solar lists phone, email, or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
