I needed an electrician to replace the switchboard in my Buderim apartment fairly quickly. Charge Rite Electrical advertised that switchboards is one of their specialities. They answered my call, we made an appointment, they turned up on time, they changed the switchboard as requested, and were very professional about it. I was very happy with the service.

I arrived home from work to find all my appliances had been cut off from power for 9 hours. Brent from Charge-Rite Electrical gave me practical advice over the phone, and the power was back up and running immediately, free of charge. Next time I need a sparky, I'll know who to call. Thank you, Brent!

Twice now I've had chargerite out to fix an oven (different ovens!). Service is super quick, and both times, the cost has been less than I expected - when does that happen? Cheers team :)

Carol answered my request to have a ceiling fan installed just before Christmas, and promptly booked me in, even though they are flat out. Scott turned up on time, had to get in the roof in 40°c heat and was cheerful, fast and very competent, the job was done in just over an hour. Their prices are less than you expect and I thoroughly recommend ChargeRite Electrical to all! Kerin Swavley.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from Charge Rite Electrical?
Charge Rite Electrical lists phone or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
