My bore switch was faulty and I contacted Sam this morning (Monday) advising I was down to a quarter of a tank with 3 horses on the property. Sam fitted me in as a priority amongst his other priority jobs. Sam replaced the switch and checked the bore pump was working correctly. He was punctual, friendly and professional and his workmanship was neat and tidy. I highly recommend Sam McAuley Electrical for your next electrical repair/installment.

Sam has just installed a generator change over switch for me on my property in Girraween, it was a big job as it involved 3phase and single phase wiring, he has done an awesome job, very neat and tidy and left the job site spotless, and so easy to deal with, I highly recommend SME for any electrical work and I will definitely use him again for future work, thanks Sam

Sam was recommended by a friend when they were unable to help us out for a few weeks. Fixed our tank pressure pump wiring that had shorted out in an awkward spot due to dodgy work from someone else. Didn't have to ask for the more heavy duty underground cabling, he had everything prepared from new waterproof posts and bags of concrete to a fit young bloke to dig the holes haha. Quality and quick normally doesn't go together but it does in this case. Super happy with our service and we expected a bigger bill today, so definitely happy with that. We've found our new trusted sparky. Will 100% get Sam and his crew back if ever needed again.

Sam and his apprentice are a great team. They listen, pay attention to detail, do a great job and leave everything tidy once finished. And all this for a very reasonable price.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
