Kim is reliable and trustworthy. He came to fix some dodgy work another electrician did, discovered during renovations. He made our home safe and compliant. Offered good suggestions and alternatives for additional work. Installed some outdoor power points and a new light fitting too. Would definitely use Kim again.

Kim came round to put in some downlights and to run some Cat6 cables in the house. This is the second time we have used him (installed our security cameras) and he was again absolutely fantastic. He left the spaces he worked in spotless, and completed everything with the minimum of fuss. Kim provides a very professional service at a very competative price. We will continue to call on him for all our electrical work.

Absolutely the best service provided. Rang the evening of a public holiday, Kim was very kind to offer his electrical services, the next day as we had guests staying at our beach house. He kept me in the communication loop throughout the morning and everything was tested for safety standards and the main fuse altered all within one hour. His costs were very reasonable too.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
