After numerous disappointments with other companies, I was recommended Jody and Statesman Windows by a friend. Honestly don't waste your time going anywhere else. Quotes and responses to emails were within the hour and a top notch product! I wasn't asked for this review but felt I needed to give one as their customer service is above and beyond!

Had some large sliding glass doors installed six months back, solid product; they still glide like a hot knife in butter. Very helpful staff.

We haven't actually got the windows for our as yet unbuilt house but the Statesman journey is good so far 😀 There has been to and fro with Jody, mostly by email (we aren't yet based in SA), phone and one showroom visit. He has worked with our house designer to provide the best and most cost effective solutions to our wants and those of the upcoming energy assessment. We are taking the maximum sizes that don't t require on-site assembly - saves costs. There are a few gotchas with the new energy star rating and a BAL bushfire zone. Jody has pointed us and our designer in the right direction unfailingly. The Statesman Windows and doors that have been selected have propelled our new house well over the new 7 star minimum up to a truly impressive 8 stars: all whilst beating off the competition with much more expensive offerings. It has been a pleasure working with Statesman so far and I fully expect to join the other super satisfied customers when I post a post-install updated review.

After having a most difficult time with another company, Andrew from Statesman was the knowledgeable and helpful salesperson that I'd hoped to deal with. He made the entire process extremely pleasant, guided us through the products and even turned them around in 10 working days. I can't tell you how different the experiences were. I will always come back if need be or recommend your store.

I spoke to a salesman Jody. He was courteous & very helpful. He is going on leave for a week, hope he has a great break. Will put my order in when he's back. Happy with the service. 👍

Frequently asked questions

How much do door installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on whether the job is a simple adjustment, a standard internal or external door install, or work involving custom doors or frame modifications. Quotes commonly combine a call-out fee, hourly labour and materials, with after-hours or emergency work usually attracting higher rates. The live pricing shown on this page reflects current regional rates and the typical job bands for each type of work.
Do door installers charge call-out fees?
Many door installers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Call-out fees are common in the rate card, though they may sometimes be waived if substantial work proceeds; it’s worth confirming this when requesting a quote. After-hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates.
Do door installers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Door installers generally need a contractor licence or registration in every Australian state and territory; in NSW the relevant authority is the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for a valid state contractor licence or registration displayed on quotes and advertising, an ABN with active registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
