He came, he saw, he con....creted. :) Excellent communication & advice from Robert. He came to visit the site on the same afternoon we first spoke, then did the job the following week. Great effort in two tricky areas and battling bad weather. Very happy to have found him.

Rob from ARC Contracting is very reliable and trust worthy. Our front steps were in a very poor condition (timber/pavers). He quoted on providing new concrete steps but effectively when they started, Rob adapted the existing timber sleeper alignment to better suit the entry and design of the new steps (at no extra charge). Prep 1 day, poured the next day and then came back a few days later to clean and expose the aggregate. Awesome job - Highly recommend.

Robert did an awesome job on our driveway, so glad I found him! We wanted to remove the high gutter and replace two of the slabs of the driveway as they were damaged and our cars scraped every time unless we went up on a steep angle. Robert was patient while I got council approval, answered all of my million questions both before the job and during and the driveway itself is exactly what we wanted. He was punctual, great with communication, quick to quote, and cleaned up well after the driveway was done. He did a stellar job and I would highly recommend him.

Frequently asked questions

How much do concreters typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the type of job, its size, site access and whether demolition or disposal is required. This page shows live pricing for your area; most concreters typically combine a call-out fee with an hourly labour rate plus materials, and after-hours work usually attracts higher rates.
Do concreters charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and usually cover travel and the initial assessment. That fee is generally separate from hourly labour and materials, and you may see higher charges for after-hours or emergency attendance.
Do concreters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Concreting for residential building work generally requires a licensed contractor across Australian states and territories; in NSW licences are issued by the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). You should expect providers to display a valid state contractor licence, an ABN with active GST registration and evidence of public liability insurance.
