These guys did a great job, turned up on time and completed for the agreed price. Great communication too. I will be using them again.

Had two chimneys swept (capped and not in use for many years, but generating a lot of mess). Great communication, punctual and polite, got the job done. Competitively priced.

Brendan was part of a 4 day rescue for my 3 month old kitten who had climbed up the chimney. He was monumental at a critical point of saving my cat’s life. He was extremely calm, decisive and informative during the entire ordeal. Truly if it wasn’t for him, my cat would not have made it. His knowledge and quick thinking contributed to a safe rescue, after so many previous attempts had left us in heart ache. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I wouldn’t hesitate at any moment to contact him for any chimney business, and I’d recommend him to anybody looking for someone will his skillset.

Blake who looked after our chimney rain cap was very professional and great to deal with. His no nonsense yet friendly work ethic was a pleasure to deal with. I got stuck on a work call but he explained all that he had done and key points to raise with my wife. Brendan on the front desk followed up when and found a way to ensure our job was actioned in a timely manner. The rain cap looks great as well. I will use them again when updating my fire box.

I've used Brendan previously to clean out our chimney when we first bought the house in 2007. I arranged for him to come again to give the fireplace and flue a service after not using the fire for some years and can highly recommend Brendan and his offsider Tim for their professionalism and a job well done.

Chimney Cleaning costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do chimney cleaners typically charge?
Costs for chimney cleaning vary widely depending on the work required. A standard sweep is typically simpler than blockage removal or jobs needing repairs, and the number of flues, access and condition of the flue all affect time and materials. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.
Do chimney cleaners charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common to cover travel and the initial inspection. Most chimney cleaners also charge an hourly labour rate, and after-hours or emergency attendance usually attracts higher rates. It's worth confirming any call-out, minimum charge or after-hours loading when requesting quotes.
What qualifications should I look for in a chimney cleaner?
Chimney cleaning is generally unlicensed, so look for an ABN and evidence of adequate public liability insurance plus voluntary industry credentials. Membership of bodies like the Australian Home Heating Association or voluntary certifications such as Guild or Institute of Chimney Sweeps are useful indicators, and a written service report after the clean is often provided.
