It was a pleasant experience to have Andrew out our house to build an extension of our patio area. Andrew arrived when he said he would, did a great job and left everything tidy when the job was finished. All was done professionally with no hick ups. We can highly recommend Breezebay Carpentry.

have used Andrew to do some work for me. He has given me a quote for the work to be done which worked out to be a very competitive price. Once accepted he turned up on time to do thew work and it was all done to a high standard. I would recommend Andrew for any carpentry work required. He is a friendly well organised tradesman who takes pride in his work and always leaves the work sight clean after every job.

Andrew gave a competitive quote and honest advice regarding repairs needed. He was punctual, did a great job, cleaned up after himself and gave me some hints and tips for other things I wanted to get done. He was also respectful and straight talking - not a creepy tradie trying to fleece you or talk bulls*it. I highly recommend Andrew for any of your carpentry needs. I am very happy with his work.

Frequently asked questions

How much do carpenters typically charge?
Carpentry costs vary widely depending on the job. Simple trim or door hanging is usually less than internal framing, small outdoor structures or timber repairs that require more labour and materials. Most carpenters charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, with after-hours work attracting higher rates; this page shows live local pricing to help you compare quotes.
Do carpenters charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. These fees are usually charged separately from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance is often charged at a higher rate, so confirm any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do carpenters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Carpentry work is generally required to be carried out by a licensed tradesperson in every Australian state and territory. In NSW, licences are administered by Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). You should expect providers to display a valid state building or trade licence on quotes and advertising, and to hold an ABN, public liability insurance and industry memberships such as HIA or Master Builders.
