Gardy did an amazing job of installing a beam in the roof to make sure it was safe for us to remove an interior wall. He was punctual, reliable, efficient, friendly and willing to take on the job in our old house that some builders in Perth wouldn't have.

After having a few builders come though our space who expressed constant limitations, wanted to charge the sun, moon and stars or purely saw our 1950s house and didn't want to work on it. VLC carpentry and Gardy where an absolute breath of fresh air. He was greatly supportive to our renovation endeavors and a very friendly personality to work with. We would 100% use his services again and I can't recommend him enough.

Gardy and Frank worked tirelessly on our project for three months in early 2019. The project was unique and very challenging due to the nature of the recycled materials we elected to use to build our double garage with loft apartment. Despite the difficulties, Gardy maintained a highly professional and hardworking approach - he is a perfectionist, and Frank supported him throughout. We were extremely impressed with Gardy's skill levels, tools and lateral thinking which enabled the structure to be built. He has constructed an extraordinary wooden frame for our second story, walls and roof support, reassembled a salvaged staircase and accommodated 3 wooden sash window frames recovered from another demolished building. Most carpenters would have baulked at the 20 aged jetty timbers that were meticulously aligned to create the floor support. They required coaxing and refining, but Gardy and Frank did it! The beams were also incredibly heavy and required great skill to be placed with precision on the brick wall below. The VL team was also polite, prompt and communicated constantly with us which we really appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend Gardy and we believe that it would be extremely difficult to find a young, enthusiastic carpenter with comparable skill level that is sympathetic to old houses and the way in which they were built. We wish them both well! :-)

Gardy and his team from VLC Carpentry & Construction did a very professional job in our house in Willetton WA. He replaced our 7 rotten posts/pillars and part of the fascia in our front porch. Gardy was a pleasure to deal with, breaking down costs in his quote and charging fairly for a quality, well done job. Gardy & his brother Frank came today to fix my ceiling on the outside of the house. Very professional, honest & friendly guys. I only got 2 quotes. The other company quoted double the amount. Very happy with their work. They also cleaned up after themselves. Definitely will recommend them to anyone that wants good service.

Gardy and Frank built a free standing deck for us. The quality of work is excellent! They were on time and worked long, hard days. They are really nice, friendly people too. I would recommend them highly and definitely use their service again.
