Marcelle's Carpentry and Building

I have had the pleasure of having Marcelle work on both of my renovations. A weatherboard Californian Bungalow in Preston and recently my log cabin in Emerald. Marcelle managed the Emerald renovation which included replacing termite damaged rafters, new roof, removing tiled flooring and laying hardwood floors, rewiring and installing an ensuite/laundry in the bungalow. I cannot recommend Marcelle highly enough. Punctual, courteous, diligent with great communication and work ethic.

Marcelle was engaged to replace the weatherboards, insulation and windows/door of my inner city cottage and I am very pleased with the finished result. Marcelle has a “can do” attitude and communicated progress and timelines regularly throughout the project. I found Marcelle hard working, prompt and tidy and very easy to get along with. Happy to recommend her services and at some stage this year will be asking her to do more work for me via new fencing!

Marcelle recently renewed the tongue and groove flooring of our traditional verandah and redid the ceiling of it with lining boards. She was very easy to communicate with and responded positively to questions and requests. Her work was of a high standard and showed attention to detail, including re-leveling of the sub-floor as required. I was very pleased to have her to do the work and would not hesitate to have her back for future projects.

Marcelle is a very nice person and it was easy to talk to her. She understood what I wanted from the word go. She was patient with me as I hesitated between one type of cladding and another.The work on the house was carried out quickly, and conscientiously. Her sub contractors (all women) were also very friendly, efficient and quick to do their respective work and the weatherboards looked great. She even did some extra work at the end, installing insulation on a 34 degree day. No knocking off at 3pm, everyday she worked till she had completed what she had wanted to do, regardless of time. Communicated really well, texting all the time - such a change to a lot of trades I've had in the past. I can highly recommend her to anyone who wants a job well done and for the experience to be such a pleasant one.

Marcelle's Carpentry and Building, is a five star service. We have had Marcelle carry out works on 3 separate occasions, each time the works were carried out after a visit and quotation. Each job was completed as quoted and on time, the work place was always left clean and tidy. Marcelle has an excellent approach with a “can do” attitude to all the jobs we needed doing at our home. Decking and verandas were replaced and well matched. She is a delight to have at home, we would highly recommend her skills and attitude and look forward to working with her again in the future. Marcelle contributed her carpentry skills to help construct our all-female show garden at the 2023 Melbourne Flower and Garden Show. She was professional, friendly, took the time to listen and knows what she is doing. Thanks to the skills of Marcelle and the team, the design took out the award for 'Best Visual Display' at the show. I'd gladly work with Marcelle again - thanks so much for being part of our project!
