We recently had Tyler out to replace the old, unsafe handrails on our Queenslander, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, he was professional, easy to communicate with, and delivered exactly what we needed. The new custom handrails not only made our stairs much safer, but they also look incredible and perfectly complement the character of our home. What really stood out was how responsive Tyler was—he actually answers his phone, turns up when he says he will, and does high-quality work at a very fair price. It’s hard to find tradies like that these days! If you’re looking for someone reliable who takes pride in their work and gets the job done right, I highly recommend giving Tyler a call. We’ll definitely be using him again for future projects.

I was so fortunate that Tyler could take on my job after a false start with another builder. Tyler is communicative, an absolute craftsman who takes pride is his exceptional work, and has a calm and thoughtful demeanor that when we had a heavily pregnant dog go into labour on his second last day, he really tried to keep the noise down and was aware of his movements. The deck he built is my favourite place. Highly recommend and will use again.

Tyler was an absolute pleasure to work with, punctual, to the point, honest and truly honest. I can highly recommend Noosa Carpentry Co to anyone wanting to work with a company that gets it done!

Perhaps the BEST carpenter I have ever worked with. A quiet, polite man. Who is fastidious about his work. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing, a breeze to deal with. We used Noosa Carpentry Co to build our shed and would definitely recommend and use them again for any future projects.

Frequently asked questions

How much do carpenters typically charge?
Carpentry costs vary widely depending on the job. Simple trim or door hanging is usually less than internal framing, small outdoor structures or timber repairs that require more labour and materials. Most carpenters charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, with after-hours work attracting higher rates; this page shows live local pricing to help you compare quotes.
Do carpenters charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. These fees are usually charged separately from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance is often charged at a higher rate, so confirm any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do carpenters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Carpentry work is generally required to be carried out by a licensed tradesperson in every Australian state and territory. In NSW, licences are administered by Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). You should expect providers to display a valid state building or trade licence on quotes and advertising, and to hold an ABN, public liability insurance and industry memberships such as HIA or Master Builders.
How do I get a quote from Noosa Carpentry Co.?
